Madam’s Identities Shocks the Entire City Again

Chapter 3782: A Strong Light Shot His Eye

At the same time.

Di Xicheng also moved.

He did not run around like a headless fly like the others. Instead, he went to the southeast with a clear target.

There was a mountain pass to the southeast of this forest. Only through there could one go up the mountain.

If one wanted to avoid being tracked, they would have to hide in the mountains.

As it turned out, he was right.

An old man and a child were destined not to be able to run fast. He did not waste much time chasing after the duo.

“Ah! Grandpa.” As the child accidentally kicked a rock, the old man finally stopped running as if he had given up.

The old man helped up his grandson, who had fallen to the ground and was crying. Not looking at the person who had caught up to him, he said without turning his head, “You’ve been chasing me for 20 years because you want to bury all the projects she researched back then… I’ve said it many times, I don’t know anything. Whether you believe it or not, from the moment we knew each other to the moment we went our separate ways, we only did things related to humanitarian aid. The research and projects you mentioned… I don’t know anything!”

“I believe you,” Di Xicheng replied calmly from behind. A smile could be detected in his voice, gentle and easy to talk to.

The old man did not believe the other party would say that. It was as if a desperate person had suddenly seen a glimmer of hope.

Di Xicheng was undoubtedly a young man.

He was wearing a hood that covered most of his face, but his eyes were dazzling and hearty, making people let down their guard.

“You…”

“Shh.” Di Xicheng gestured for him to shush. He took a gun from his pocket and loaded it casually in front of the old man.

The old man’s expression changed slightly. He shielded his grandson and looked at him in disbelief. “Didn’t you say you believe me…”

“Yes, I believe you.” The sound of the pistol being loaded and his sloppy voice formed a deliberate harmony.

Di Xicheng looked into his eyes and suddenly smiled. ” ‘Just because I believe you doesn’t mean I’ll let you off.’ Have you heard of this saying?”

Silence.

“In this world, only the dead can put people at ease!”

After saying that, he aimed the black muzzle at the old man’s temple.

After hiding for 20 years, he finally faced this day. The old man couldn’t tell if he was more afraid or relieved.

His mouth was dry from nervousness as he looked at the young man and said his last plea, “My grandson doesn’t know anything. He’s still young. Can you send him back to my friend’s house after I die? Since you’ve found me, you should know where I’m hiding.”

It was his only request.

Di Xicheng’s lips curled up, but his heart didn’t soften. “He will accompany you right after you die. This way, you can take care of him yourself. Won’t you feel more at ease?”

“You won’t even let a child off?!”

The old man’s expression changed. He pulled the little boy back two steps in disbelief, angry and afraid.

“He doesn’t know anything!”

Di Xicheng did not want to talk to him anymore and was about to shoot.

Suddenly, the sound of a motorcycle whistle came from the small forest. It buzzed from all directions, as if many people were coming this way.

Di Xicheng’s first reaction was to think of an old enemy. He dropped the frivolous look in his eyes and hurried to shoot the old man.

At this critical moment, a strong light shot into his eyes from the opposite side.
