Chapter 1474 - 1474 Old Master Su Is Sick

1474 Old Master Su Is Sick

Last night, Xu Jishen accompanied the old man for an IV drip and did not sleep the entire night. In the morning, Jiang Yao called him, then the nurse told him that his grandfather had a fever again…

Xu Jishen had spent the past two days in chaos.

He faced the pairs of anxious eyes staring at him, his expression grave. “Grandpa… isn’t doing well.”

“?”

!!
The family was in an uproar.

Mother Su’s heart skipped a beat, and her face was covered with worry. She also asked him worriedly, “Jishen, what did the doctor tell you? Tell us the truth!”

“It’s not that I won’t tell—”

Seeing that they all wanted to know, Xu Jishen simply told them what the doctor had told him. “The doctor said that Grandpa’s recurring high fever might be a problem with his immune system.

“They examined Grandpa and found a tumor near his maternal vessels. It’s too early to tell if the tumor is benign.

“But it’s more likely for the tumor to be malignant. Also, the tumor is pressing against Grandpa’s veins, so Grandpa is still unconscious.”

Xu Jishen’s voice was clear and melodious.

The more calmly he explained the situation to everyone, the more their hearts sank…

Even Mother Su looked flustered. “Your grandfather has always been healthy. Why did he suddenly…”

“It’s not all of a sudden.” Xu Jishen sighed and said in a heavy tone, “Grandpa has never been in good health. It’s just that we don’t usually care about him. He’s also stubborn. Even if he’s not feeling well, he won’t tell us.”

The Su family members lowered their heads in shame when they heard this.

The old man had a bad temper. His personality was smelly and hard. Everyone in the family was afraid of him.

They usually didn’t dare to wander under Su Huaiyuan’s nose, let alone care about the old man’s health.

Xu Jishen also knew the situation at home. He usually stayed in Tian Chen and rarely came back. He knew that there was nothing he could do about the situation at home.

Now he only regretted not taking more time to come back and spend time with the old man.

“The doctor also said that Grandpa’s body collapsed a long time ago. The reason why he didn’t collapse immediately is that Grandpa is often taking a medicine that can temporarily suppress the growth of the tumor near his blood vessels.

“It’s very likely that Grandpa has finished that medicine.”

Third Aunt immediately frowned and said in a panic, “Buy it if you’re done eating! Did the doctor say what medicine your grandfather took?”

Xu Jishen shook his head.

Third Aunt was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. She paced back and forth and thought of another solution. “Your Grandpa…”

Before she could finish, Xu Jishen knew what she was about to say and said coldly, “Grandpa is still unconscious. He can’t have told you.”

“Then, what should we do?” Third Aunt stamped her foot anxiously. “We can’t just stand here and watch!”

After hearing her words, Xu Jishen sneered and did not give her any face. “What else can we do? Can you treat Grandpa?”

“You!”

Third Aunt’s face turned red from his retort. After a long time, she straightened her neck and said, “You child, I’m also worried about your grandfather’s health. I don’t mean anything else. Do you have to make things sound so ugly…”

“I’m just telling the truth. It’s useless for you to be anxious about me now. I can’t do anything about it.” Xu Jishen couldn’t be bothered with her. His brows were cold and his tone was not good.
