Madam’s Identities Shocks the Entire City Again

Chapter 579: Qiao Chen Being Pinned to the Ground

Principal Yu watched how it unfolded and had some idea where things were headed. He politely said, “Yes, please go on.”

“This is all a misunderstanding. There was no fight between the two of them. My brother-in-law slipped and fell down the stairs, breaking his ribs. I’m not sure where Chen Chen heard this from. Actually, Qiao Nian just happened to be at the scene, but it wasn’t her doing. It was my brother-in-law’s carelessness…” Shen Jingyan spoke in a calm and collected manner, evidently not an ordinary figure.

Qiao Chen’s face contorted into a strange expression of disbelief.

She knew very well that Wei Qi couldn’t have fallen down the stairs and broken three ribs. It was surely Qiao Nian’s doing.

They were in Beijing back then, and Wei Ling had called him but could not get through. It was Wei Qi’s subordinate who said that Wei Qi had been beaten up by Qiao Nian.

Shen Jingyan had also rushed back with her because of this.

Why did her uncle lie for Qiao Nian?

Shen Jingyan said seriously but steadily, “Chen Chen blabbered to her friends without being sure of the actual matter, causing the school such inconvenience. I’m very sorry about that. I will educate her properly when we go back.”

He immediately called out to Qiao Chen.

“Chen Chen, apologize to the principal!”

Everyone present was surprised by how he had handled the matter so swiftly and coldly. They weren’t expecting such a turn of events.

Qiao Chen inched forward and felt the glares from all directions. It was so humiliating, almost as if someone had stripped her from top to bottom. All the blood had been drained from her face, and she was biting her lip so hard it was almost torn. When she spoke, it was soft as a mosquito buzzing. “I’m sorry, Principal Yu. It’s all my fault. I didn’t get things right…”

I-It wasn’t like this!

Qiao Nian had beaten someone up. Why was she the one apologizing now?

Shen Jingyan’s face was cold and stern. After she was done apologizing to the principal, he ordered, “Qiao Nian as well, you should apologize to her too.”

Qiao Chen felt her brain tumble, and all of a sudden, her face flushed. Her head snapped up, but once her gaze met Shen Jingyan’s, she quickly lowered her eyes. Her fingernails dug into her skin.

She walked towards Qiao Nian and, between clenched teeth, said, “Sister, I’m sorry, I didn’t know I’d gotten it wrong. I didn’t intend for Wu Jie to frame you on the forum. I just mentioned it casually. Also, the message this morning… I really did not mean anything by that, they might have understood me wrongly… that’s why they commented inappropriate things on the forum. I didn’t know it would cause you so much trouble.”

She put it so nicely. Qiao Nian didn’t expect her to try to push the blame even at a time like this. Between the lines, she was mentioning everyone else’s faults and not her own!

She mentioned it casually, not expecting Wu Jie to post about it online.

She sent the message casually, not expecting the Class B students to stand up for her.

As such, she was the most innocent person. She had obviously “done nothing”, but was being made to apologize for no rhyme or reason now.

This just made Qiao Nian appear unreasonable.

While she remained the ever-innocent Qiao Chen!

“Tsk.” Qiao Nian’s glance was cold as she side-eyed her in annoyance. She asked, “Qiao Chen, you’ve used this trick for over 10 years, aren’t you tired?”
