Madam’s Identities Shocks the Entire City Again

Chapter 440 - Master Nie Wanted Her Too!

It had been years since the Chinese Medicine Faculty got a talent!

They had gotten two students previously, but after one semester, they had requested for a transfer. Enrolling in the Chinese Medicine Faculty was but their last resort.

With the students lacking interest in Chinese Medicine, there wasnʼt much use even if the teachers were passionate about passing on the knowledge.

But this time was different. They were receiving the top student in the examinations, the only student who scored full marks in Qing Universityʼs admission examinations!

With so many faculties vying for her, how could he not be agitated when she eventually chose theirs to join?

Moreover, they didnʼt just receive a talented student, even his teacher was returning to the field to teach.. He was taking in students again!

Liang Lu pouted in disdain hearing how excited they were. When she looked at Qiao Nian and Mr. Huang again, she took a deep breath to calm herself down.

It was fine. So what if Mr. Huang was back? The Chinese Medicine Faculty was already done for. Even with Mr. Huang around before, the Chinese Medicine Faculty didnʼt have that much glory. It would be the same this time. Did they really think a single student could save the entire faculty? Haha, not unless the student was a genius that appeared just once a century! Otherwise, the Chinese Medicine Faculty would still remain in its terrible state like before!

Having rationalized it, she fixed her facade as well. She smiled at the elderly and said, ”Congratulations for taking in another ʼgoodʼ student, Mr. Huang.”

She enunciated the words ʼgood studentʼ very clearly as her eyes sparkled with hatred and contempt when she turned to Qiao Nian.

Cheng Wu followed suit. Arrogant again, he said to Qiao Nian, ”Mr. Huang hasnʼt personally taken in students for years now. Youʼre lucky that he sees something in you. Youʼd better study hard and not waste this opportunity.”

He didnʼt say anything about how useless Chinese Medicine was as he did before, nor did he speak a word about network and resources.

He looked as if he was really comforted by and happy for Qiao Nian, but only he knew how he really felt deep down.

Qiao Nian didnʼt care about how these people thought about it, or rather, she never paid special attention to Liang Lu and Cheng Wu, so she couldnʼt be bothered by their noise. But as a form of respect, she acknowledged what Cheng Wu said with a soft ʼMmʼ in response.

In the eyes of the rest, however, she appeared a little rude and indifferent.

Especially to Cheng Wu, who was so used to being addressed as Professor Cheng so respectfully wherever he went. He couldnʼt help but furrow his brows when he heard how Qiao Nian responded to him now. But with Mr. Huang around, it was best he didnʼt blow his top. Deep down, however, he believed that a student as difficult to handle as Qiao Nian wouldnʼt be able to do well wherever she went.

Nie Mi wasnʼt bothered by their opinions, either. When Qiao Nianʼs choice of the Chinese Medicine Faculty was finalized, he slowly said, ”Your major is Chinese Medicine, but youʼll be taking a minor too, no? Have you thought of what to take as a minor?”

Graduates were everywhere now, so many students would choose to take an additional minor on top of their major. This was usually done on the online system.

Of course, some popular courses like Finance and Clinical studies were not as easy to take on as a minor.

Hence, it was quite a commotion when Qiao Chen was asked about having a minor in Finance after she had been selected by Cheng Wu.

Now that Nie Mi said this, everyone seemed to realize something. They turned around in disbelief—after Mr. Huang, Master Nie was now taking in students too?

And it wasnʼt for a major but a minor?!
