5: The script is flawed; torture and murder should be done this way. After thinking through all the happiest moments of his life, Chen Xiaochun took the initiative to ask to start filming.

The sooner it was over, the sooner he would be free; after finishing this scene, he never wanted to see this guy again for the rest of his life.

After another ”action,” the First Boss, played by Chen Xiaochun, finally walked steadily toward the Second Boss, played by Lin Pei, in the shot.

The First Boss asked slowly, ”Do you know your mistake?”

The Second Boss looked at the First Boss and stubbornly raised an eyebrow. ”Big Brother, I just chopped up an officer. Is it really necessary to interrogate me like this?”

Chen Xiaochun’s heart couldn’t help but tremble, and his legs went weak again.

It wasn’t necessary, it really wasn’t necessary.

This guy didn’t even need to act; he was a bandit through and through. He should have been the First Boss.

Chen Xiaochun exhaled.

He tremblingly took out the prop whip.

”The state has its laws, and the gang has its rules. Second Brother, take your punishment.”

The whip lightly lashed across Lin Pei’s body.

”Stop.”

This wasn’t shouted by the Director, but by Lin Pei.

Chen Xiaochun nearly threw his back out as he stopped his movements and wiped his sweat.

Looking at Lin Pei’s gaze, his bladder felt the pressure again.

He hadn’t used any force at all when he swung the whip just now; it was purely no different from tickling.

Did he have an issue even with that?

Moreover, when this guy wasn’t smiling, he looked even more sinister, enough to make one’s hair stand on end.

He subconsciously asked, ”W-What’s wrong, Big Brother?”

Lin Pei was a bit dazed.

He was the Second Brother; why did the senior always mess up the lines and call him Big Brother instead?

Lin Pei didn’t have time to correct the line issue because he discovered an even bigger loophole in the script.

”Director, there seems to be a problem with this script.”

The original plot was that the First Boss picks up a whip one centimeter in diameter and two meters long, whipping the Second Boss half to death in just three strokes.

Later, the First Boss grabs the Second Boss by the throat and takes five or six minutes to strangle him to death.

The Second Boss is severely injured and dies without a single struggle.

Originally, he might not have noticed these details, but after obtaining the Peerless Criminal skill, he felt this plot was extremely unreasonable.

As the victim, the Second Boss’s reaction was completely wrong.

Before the Director could respond, the Screenwriter walked out from among the production crew.

He had just rushed over from another Film Crew, and as soon as he entered the set, he heard someone questioning his script. Who could stand that?

He was one of the well-known domestic Screenwriters with countless works under his belt; he had won so many awards that his hands were numb from holding trophies.

And now he was being questioned by a Young Actor who had just entered the industry?

How could this be allowed?

”How could there possibly be a problem with this plot?”

This was a script he had spent years writing and had revised several times; even the Director had given the green light, saying there were no issues.

On what grounds did a newcomer say there was a problem?

If he hadn’t been wary of Lin Pei’s fierce appearance, he would have started cursing long ago.

”Screenwriter, these few lines indeed have problems, and the problems are quite significant.”

The Screenwriter got even angrier, his eyes almost popping out.

Not only were there problems, but the problems were significant?

How could a script he, a dignified and famous Screenwriter, had worked on for years still have major problems?

This was simply an insult to his profession.

The Director hurried over to pull him back.

”Old Chen, don’t be angry.”

”We’ve worked together for so many years; how could I not know the quality of the scripts you write?”

”But since Brother Pei mentioned it, we might as well hear him out.”

He wanted to vent his anger for the Screenwriter, but he really didn’t dare to offend that guy either.

The Screenwriter was huffing and puffing; the Director’s attitude really infuriated him.

How could a plot they both had approved have a problem?

There wouldn’t be any at all.

”There’s no need for that. What I write is meant to make good movies; it’s not for others to just nitpick at will!”

”By treating me like this, are you respecting all the days and nights I spent revising the script?”
