People are Fighting to Break Their Diaries! They Forced Me to Eat Soft Food

208: Chapter 208 Yao Tian Questions His Existence! Venerable Yao, Someone is Looking for You”But since you already have a partner, Huo Zhi, then never mind.”

”Huo Zhi, just pretend like nothing ever happened.”

”Mm.” Huo Zhi raised her hand to retrieve a few Fire Beads and stuffed them into Yao Ling’s hand, smiling, ”I’m very happy you came to see me. This is a small gift I prepared for you.”

”Thank you, Huo Zhi.” Yao Ling beamed, thinking of finding an excuse to take her leave.

After all, she still cared about her own brother, Yao Tian, and didn’t want him to suffer a sound beating.

But sometimes, the more you don’t want something to happen, the more likely it is to occur.

Yao Tian spoke up, saying, ”Miss Huo Zhi is a proud daughter of heaven from the Yan Clan. The partner you’ve found must be extraordinary. Why not call him out so we can meet? We could all sit down and have some tea; perhaps we might even have many common topics.”

”To be valued by Miss Huo Zhi, he must be a direct descendant of some Emperor Clan. Perhaps I even know him.”

Yao Tian felt extremely stifled inside.

When Yao Ling first said she wanted to introduce a woman to him, he hadn’t had any particular thoughts about it.

However, after the elders of the Medicine Clan learned that the person Venerable Yao wanted to introduce to him was Huo Zhi, they all gave their approval.

Only then did he leave the Medicine World and follow Yao Ling to see Huo Zhi. As long as the conversation went reasonably well, the elders would step in later to communicate with the Yan Clan regarding the rest.

But in his heart, he didn’t believe a woman with a Fourth-Grade Dou Di Bloodline from the Yan Clan could make his heart flutter, even if the other party possessed the Red Lotus Karma Fire and a special constitution.

Yet, upon seeing Huo Zhi for the first time, he couldn’t help but feel his heart stir. He felt this woman was the best he had ever seen—only Yao Ling could compare, but Yao Ling was his own sister.

At that moment, he felt the trip had been worthwhile and was already prepared to show off his charm to gain Huo Zhi’s favor. As long as she didn’t refuse, he would send word to the family elders.

As it turned out... it was over before it even began.

This made him feel like a clown.

”My partner surely wouldn’t know Young Clan Leader Yao Tian, so there’s no need for us to meet for tea. He is currently in closed-door cultivation and has no time to see guests.” Huo Zhi rejected the request directly on behalf of Xiao Ting.

Her partner was certainly presentable, but given Yao Tian’s personality, if he found out Huo Zhi’s partner was just a ”rogue cultivator” or someone from the fallen Xiao Family, there was no guarantee he wouldn’t say something that invited a beating.

”It doesn’t matter.” Yao Tian said with a gentle tone, ”Since I’ve already come all the way to the Black-Corner Region, it’s fine if Yao Ling and I stay for a while. We can wait for Miss Huo Zhi’s partner to finish his cultivation before meeting him.”

”Brother, let’s just forget it.” Yao Ling said immediately, ”Huo Zhi has a partner, so why should we stay? Don’t you need to return to the Medicine World to focus on improving your alchemy? You should head back soon, lest you be surpassed by Yao Xingji.”

Yao Tian instinctively frowned and said somewhat stubbornly, ”Ling’er, you said you wanted to come, and I’ve come. It wouldn’t be right to just leave like this.”

”I’m just curious about how outstanding the man Miss Huo Zhi has taken a fancy to is. That’s not offensive, is it?”

”I’m sorry, but I do find it offensive.” Huo Zhi narrowed her eyes slightly and smiled indifferently, ”As for how outstanding the partner I’ve chosen is, you don’t need to meet him; I can let you know right now.”

”Oh?” Yao Tian showed an expression of surprise.

Just as he was about to ask how she would let him know, Huo Zhi suddenly moved, raising her hand to mobilize the power of space to suppress him.

Yao Ling closed her eyes: Brother, you brought this upon yourself. I already tried my best.

”Hiss!”

A quarter of an hour later, Yao Tian looked at Huo Zhi with lingering fear, his face deathly pale and in a very poor state.

He never imagined that this woman would attack the moment she said she would, and that he would be completely powerless to resist.

He was stubborn and said, ”What kind of skill is it to launch a sneak attack?”

As a result, Huo Zhi released her restriction on him and let him attack first.
