Thunderstorm Asthma? I’ll Just Drain the National Power Grid!

51: The rules for the large-scale real-person battle royale game, the Hidden Dragon Grand Competition, have been announced!Su Wanqing stared at the clear human-shaped crater on the floor, her temples throbbing.

“The… repair costs…”

She hadn’t even finished her sentence.

Lin Yuan, with a righteous expression, was already pointing towards the door.

“He made the first move!”

“This was self-defense!”

“All property damage resulting from this should rightfully be borne by the provocateur, that person named Su-what’s-his-name-Zhe!”

He paused, then added,

“We are the victims; we might even be able to claim some emotional distress compensation.”

Shi Lei, standing by, nodded repeatedly.

“Right! Brother Lin is right!”

Liu Yan and Mo Chen, however, looked numb.

They were already getting used to this guy’s shamelessness.

Su Wanqing took a deep breath, forcibly swallowing the complaint that had risen to her lips.

She finally understood now why Zhou Weiguo had thrown this hot potato to her.

“Beep—”

Just then, everyone’s terminals simultaneously chimed with a notification.

Su Wanqing tapped the screen, her expression turning serious.

“Come over, the rules have been sent down.”

Everyone immediately gathered around.

On the virtual screen, the detailed rules for this hidden dragon ranking Grand Competition were projected.

“hidden dragon ranking Grand Competition · First Stage: Hunting Points Match”

“Competition Venue: Simulated Secret Realm No. 073 (Composite terrain of jungle, mountains, and swamps)”

“Competition Time: 72 hours”

“Competition Rules:”

“1. All participating teams will be randomly teleported to various locations within the secret realm.”

“2. ‘Energy Aggregates’ (simulated exotic beasts) of different levels will be refreshed regularly within the secret realm. Killing them will grant corresponding points.”

“3. Defeating members of other teams allows you to seize 50% of their points. Defeated individuals will not die but will be forcibly teleported out of the game.”

“4. Each team starts with 1000 points.”

“5. After 72 hours, the top sixteen teams in total points will qualify for the individual competition.”

The rules were simple and brutal.

It was a three-day, large-scale real-life “battle royale” game.

“It’s this kind of free-for-all mode again.” Liu Yan’s brows were tightly furrowed. “In this mode, luck is very important. If we’re teleported in the middle of several strong teams at the start, it’s easy to be wiped out early.”

Mo Chen analyzed calmly.

“Not just that. Rule number three is key. Defeating an opponent allows you to plunder half of their points. This means that in the later stages, theincome of hunting other teams will be far greater than hunting energy bodies.”

“This will encourage all teams to fight among themselves.”

Shi Lei scratched his head.

“So what do we do? Still follow Captain Su’s earlier plan of steady progress?”

Everyone’s gaze turned to Su Wanqing.

Su Wanqing didn’t answer immediately.

She was also thinking.

According to her initial idea, Lin Yuan would be the spearhead, with everyone else fully supporting him.

But now, it seemed this tactic carried risks.

Lin Yuan’s attack power was sufficient, but what about his stamina?

In a high-intensity battle lasting 72 hours, would his D-rank energy truly be enough?

What if he overexerted himself in the early stages, only to become a juicy target for others later on?

Just as she hesitated,

Lin Yuan spoke.

“I don’t think this tactic will work.”

He shook his head.

“It’s too slow.”

“72 hours, that’s such a long time. How many monsters would we have to kill to get enough points? The efficiency is too low.”

Liu Yan couldn’t help but retort.

“Then what do you suggest? Should we go straight for the ‘Magic City’ and Beijing First Team monsters as soon as we enter?”

“No, no, no.”

Lin Yuan waved his hand, a benevolent smile appearing on his face.

“What I mean is, we need to split up.”

“What?!”

Liu Yan was the first to object. “Split up? Are you crazy? This is a team competition! If we split up and encounter other full teams, we’ll be easy pickings!”

“Don’t rush, let me finish.”

Lin Yuan said unhurriedly.

“My plan is very simple, just two words—”

“Pig farming.”

“Pig farming?”

Everyone exchanged bewildered glances, completely failing to grasp his meaning.

Lin Yuan held up one finger.

“First, after the competition begins, the four of you find a safe place and hide.”

He looked at Liu Yan and the other two.

“Your mission isn’t to fight or to farm points.”

“It’s to ‘claim territory’.”
