Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2744: Chapter 2740: Takeout for the Parents

”Enjoy your meal, both of you. Here are your dishes, all served. Also, this is an extra dish from our boss as a complimentary offer. We have a special promotion today that the ninety-ninth customer to dine gets a free dish, and you are the lucky ones.” The waiter explained before Qin Xue and Chu Molin even asked about the dish after serving their meals.

”Wow, are we really that lucky?” Qin Xue noticed the promotion when she came in, but she didn’t expect their luck to be this good.

”Yes, we hold this promotion periodically—both the ninety-ninth and the one hundred ninety-ninth customers are lucky winners. So you truly got lucky.” The waiter didn’t know why the boss arranged this promotion, yet it was undeniable that business at their restaurant was quite good.

That’s why many people come here every day. Although it’s expensive, it has become a highlight of the city.

As long as the waiters do their job well, everything else is the boss’s concern. They just need to receive their salary on time each month.

”Alright, thank you.” Qin Xue only kept the dish because she saw the promotion notice when she entered; otherwise, she wouldn’t have left it, despite it being a dish she liked.

She had a lingering doubt, unsure if it was just a coincidence or someone intentionally arranged it—she still couldn’t tell.

That’s how a braised pomfret ended up on their table.

Qin Xue took a piece and put it in her mouth. It tasted really good and suited her palate, which pleasantly surprised her.

”Tasty?” Chu Molin raised an eyebrow, noticing Qin Xue’s delighted expression, and asked.

”Yes, it’s delicious. You’ll know once you taste it, try it—it won’t disappoint you.” Qin Xue placed a piece of pomfret on his plate, genuinely enjoying the taste.

Knowing Qin Xue’s tastes, Chu Molin did not doubt its flavor at all.

So he picked up the dish from the bowl and started eating slowly; it was indeed good. Eventually, the couple finished the entire spread, such a meal was truly satisfying.

Qin Xue let out a satisfied sigh. It was so delicious that she couldn’t help but eat more than usual.

It had been a while since she last indulged in such a meal, and she didn’t expect to eat so much this time. She realized she should be more mindful.

”How was it, tasty, right? I didn’t know they served this here before. I remember it wasn’t part of their menu system earlier, was it?” Although Qin Xue hadn’t dined here before, she remembered this place used to be another restaurant.

”This restaurant must have opened after we left. If you like it, I can bring you here every day during the time we’re here.” Chu Molin pampered Qin Xue without reservation, fulfilling her needs whenever possible.

”No, I don’t want to be extravagant. Let’s eat at home with Dad and Mom; an occasional visit here is good enough.” Qin Xue didn’t want to spend money that way, believing that even delightful meals need moderation; otherwise, one could get tired of them. She preferred to cherish the anticipation.

Since Qin Xue didn’t want to, Chu Molin wouldn’t insist. To him, although the restaurant’s food was good, it wasn’t better than his wife’s cooking.

So if she didn’t want to come, they wouldn’t. As long as she was happy, he would do as she pleased.

”Let’s settle the bill and take two servings back for your parents.” Qin Xue stood up, remembering they couldn’t forget the two elderly people at home after finishing their meal. Taking dishes home was necessary.

”Yes, I’ve already ordered them when we started, even though I didn’t know what the taste would be.” Chu Molin nodded—he hadn’t forgotten his in-laws’ share. So after seeing Qin Xue’s choice, he penned the note, requesting them to pack two identical dishes after the couple finished eating.
