Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2653: Chapter 2649: I Thought Only Rabbits Did This, But Apparently Not

”Master, we’re back. Do you want to eat a spiritual mouse?” The Snow Wolf appeared in front of Qin Xue with a spiritual mouse in its mouth, with the Red Snake following behind.

”Did you catch this?” Qin Xue looked at the spiritual mouse without blood stains and wondered how it was accomplished.

”No, it’s too stupid. It just saw me and got scared, crashing into a tree. So the Red Snake and I just dragged it back,” the Snow Wolf gestured to Qin Xue, explaining how it caught the spiritual mouse. For it, catching prey wasn’t hard, but catching them unharmed was still a challenge.

”I thought only rabbits would do that. Do spiritual mice do this too?” Qin Xue looked at the spiritual mouse by her feet, thinking it was indeed a foolish mouse.

”Haven’t you heard that when rabbits are desperate, they bite? When a mouse is desperate, it crashes into walls,” Chu Molin thought Qin Xue might be oversimplifying things.

Many times, what they think and do aren’t the same because the food chain in this world isn’t something that can be changed so easily.

So said, wanting to do something is still uncertain, especially for creatures like them, who live by the law of the jungle; it’s even harder.

Facing the Snow Wolf’s somewhat smug expression, Qin Xue squatted down and patted its head. This little guy was still quite prideful, with a childish nature in whatever it did.

However, Qin Xue wasn’t saying that she couldn’t praise it; in fact, she should praise it more. So she smiled, ”You did great, but if you don’t eat it next time, just don’t catch it, alright? Otherwise, they won’t grow fast enough for you to eat, and once you’ve caught them all, there won’t be any left when you want to eat again.”

Qin Xue didn’t know how many spiritual mice there were in the space, but unlimited catching might lead to extinction, which she didn’t want for her beloved pets.

”Awoo.” The Snow Wolf also understood this principle.

Today, this spiritual mouse crashed to death in front of it. It couldn’t just leave it there, so it brought it back. After all, waste is shameful.

”Good to know. I’ll prepare this spiritual mouse later for you all to share. Now go do whatever you need to do, but don’t damage my herb garden, got it?” Qin Xue treasured her herbs the most.

”Got it. Master, don’t worry. We definitely won’t ruin your things.” The Red Snake had only damaged a small part recently and was punished for it. If it didn’t learn its lesson and messed up again, it thought Xue Ling wouldn’t let it off.

”Alright, off you go then.” Qin Xue waved them away.

”Xue’er, I’ll take this out to clean. You can just cook it later.” Chu Molin knew Qin Xue didn’t like to clean these things, so he took on the task. She only needed to cook.

”No need to ask. Of course, you’ll do it.” Qin Xue didn’t want to get her hands bloody, better let Chu Molin handle it. Just thinking about killing to eat, she couldn’t bring herself to do it.

Yet, she didn’t have any psychological barriers when operating on patients. It was strange; animals shouldn’t give her psychological shadows, but she was the opposite. So she could cook, but she couldn’t slaughter animals to eat.

”Alright, let’s go.” Chu Molin said softly, holding the spiritual mouse in one hand and Qin Xue’s hand in the other.

”You go do that, and I’ll make the meal.” Qin Xue saw the children hadn’t woken up yet, so she let Chu Molin handle the food, while she went to cook.

Originally planning to cook porridge, she thought about the meat, which they all liked, and decided to make a meal instead, feeling it would be odd to use meat for porridge.
