Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2627: Chapter 2622: I’m Nervous

”Hello, may I ask where the window for marriage registration is?” When Qin Yu and Ouyang Ziyu arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau, they saw only one staff member there, and no one else had come to register.

It’s normal to see this phenomenon. Nowadays, many people just hold a wedding banquet without being aware of registering officially.

This was also his view before, but after coming here, he realized what the law is; married folks need to get a marriage certificate. So when Ouyang Ziyu asked him if he could come to register with her, he didn’t get confused.

He didn’t make a fool of himself either, all thanks to his eagerness to learn. He found the law quite interesting, so he listened carefully to these political issues during class.

As for Ouyang Ziyu, her heart was racing very fast now. She was so nervous and felt like turning around and leaving.

Once she entered and stamped that seal, she’d be a married woman. With a burst of impulse, she was selling herself off.

”Right here. Are you here to get a marriage certificate?” The staff looked at the young couple. They really were a handsome pair, well-matched.

”Yes, thank you.” Ouyang Ziyu took a deep breath, then took a dark brown household registration booklet from her bag and placed it next to Qin Yu’s on the counter. It was too late to regret now, so she might as well go through with it.

Seeing her actions, Qin Yu didn’t say anything. From the moment she asked if he could come to register with her, he had anticipated this moment, so he just said he’d go back to the dorm to get his household registration booklet. He didn’t ask if she needed to go back for hers.

When someone comes directly to you for marriage, she must be ready. All he needed to do was prepare everything on his end.

What Qin Yu didn’t know was that Ouyang Ziyu made this decision on the spur of the moment. Truth be told, she was really nervous. But how could she tell Qin Yu this?

”Please come with me to take a picture.” After seeing their household registration booklets and confirming they were of legal age, the staff member informed them.

”Okay.” They exchanged a glance and nodded in agreement.

”Move a little closer, smile, smile sweetly, no need to be so tense or behave like strangers. You are here to get married, not divorced, no need to make it so somber.” The staff member didn’t know what more to say. After a few attempts, he couldn’t help but wonder if they were really here to get married; no one usually behaves like this.

”I’m nervous,” Ouyang Ziyu said, blushing. They were indeed here to get married, but they weren’t familiar beforehand. Though not complete strangers, they weren’t intimate either. If they were too enthusiastic, that would actually be abnormal.

With people saying this, she didn’t know what else to say. She felt helpless. She wanted to appear closer but always felt awkward.

She nudged her seat closer to Qin Yu, yet seeing the staff’s still discontented look, she was too embarrassed to move any closer. It was truly awkward.

”Is this okay?” Qin Yu sensed Ouyang Ziyu’s nervousness. Not to mention her, even he was tense.

Before coming, he imagined everything would be fine, but sitting here now, facing the camera, he suddenly felt anxious. This was really happening, and soon he’d be off the market.

But seeing Ouyang Ziyu so nervous, suddenly, his own nervousness dissipated.
