Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2455: Chapter 2449: Driven Mad with Missing His Daughter

”Sis, are you okay? Is the baby being naughty? You don’t look well,” Qin Jiale asked as soon as she saw her sister come out.

”No, it’s just that I smelled gasoline while on the bus and got nauseous,” Qin Xue explained. It wasn’t pregnancy nausea, not the baby’s fault.

”Then have some porridge to warm your stomach first. Qing Zhu said eating this is more comfortable,” Qin Jiale eagerly placed a bowl of hot porridge in front of her sister. Their family was about to welcome another little one, and just the thought of it made her happy.

”Sis, does that mean I’m going to be an uncle again? Is it a niece?” Qin Yu asked happily upon hearing the news. What great news.

”Uh, I’m not sure if it’s a girl, but your brother-in-law says it is,” Qin Xue was speechless when talking about this. Are girls really that well-behaved? Not causing any fuss. She had heard that if a baby is quiet in the womb, they might be more restless after birth.

Qin Xue didn’t know that whether in the womb or after being born, girls are generally more well-behaved than boys. But she had been pregnant and given birth before, and both those little boys were exceptionally well-behaved and never caused her any trouble. So when her brother asked, she didn’t know if it was a boy or a girl.

She’s about to give birth, and whether it’s a boy or a girl, it doesn’t really matter; the baby will be born anyway. After this, she would need to think of ways to avoid getting pregnant again, or she’d cry if she got pregnant once more.

”Alright, boy or girl, they’re all treasures of our family,” Qin Yu wasn’t the type to care about this; it was just that with three boys already, he was hoping for a girl this time.

”Seeing that everyone hopes you’ll have a girl, eat a bit more,” Qing Zhu placed a plate of pickled vegetables in front of Qin Xue, looking eagerly at her.

”Sigh, it’s not something I decided; it’s about fate. Just go with it,” Qin Xue said. If she wasn’t already pregnant, she wouldn’t have planned for a second child; but since it happened without them knowing, they had to have it. So, nothing can be forced.

If she were preparing, she might have altered her diet to influence the baby’s gender. Right now, not knowing beforehand, who could tell what the situation was at that time?

However, no matter what, there’s no way around it. They weren’t prepared, so this is a gift from fate, one they should be grateful for and receive with a thankful heart.

The whole family, young and old, crowded into the room, hardly having room to sit. Qing Zhu set up a small table for the kids, finally allowing the adults to eat properly at their table.

Because of this, Qin Xue was particularly serious about eating. She was so nauseous that eating was a bit uncomfortable, so she ate slowly. Seeing her like this, the others didn’t urge her; they ate and chatted among themselves, while Qin Xue quietly ate her meal without joining their conversation.

”Xiao Qi, you haven’t heard anything from Yingying yet, have you?” Qing Zhu asked while eating and feeding the kids.

”No,” Xiao Qi replied, feeling down. He had been using work to numb himself, avoiding thoughts of Nangong Beiying, but when Gu Beilin came, he mentioned her. Now Qing Zhu brought her up again, and it seemed like he couldn’t get past this today. What infuriated him the most was that after the woman left, she didn’t leave him a single word, nor did she let Feng and the others reveal any news. He had never seen such a heartless woman.
