Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

After getting a bit annoyed with listening, Rona began to usher her out.

But he also gave Yisa a suggestion.

”Or, you could be like your parents and go believe in that god.”

”That’s impossible!”

Hearing Rona’s words, Yisa rejected the idea without even thinking.

Rona spread his hands.

”Then you’ll have to figure it out yourself.”

...

Walking on the way home, Yisa kept her head down, tears constantly dripping from her eyes.

At this moment, she was so out of place with the joyful atmosphere on the street.

Some residents also noticed Yisa’s situation, and some wanted to come forward and ask about it, but Yisa didn’t hear a word, keeping her head down the whole way.

After returning home, Yisa locked herself inside. Even though the neighbors came by several times, she didn’t open the door.

A few days passed like this.

During these few days, Yisa thought a lot.

She only knew that her parents had been taken away by that so-called ”Lord.”

But as for who specifically the Lord was, Yisa didn’t know.

She wanted to find her parents, but she didn’t even know who had taken them.

Yisa had also thought about seeking help from the church.

But she quickly dismissed that idea.

Setting aside that the Ximi God did not oppose the spread of Strange Gods’ faiths in the star sector, those high-level church officials would certainly not go looking for someone who had abandoned their faith.

After thinking it over, Yisa once again placed her last hope on Rona.

She knew that Rona was also a god.

As long as Rona was willing to help her, he could definitely find her parents.

But after these few interactions, Yisa had given up on Rona.

She had understood a truth.

Gods and humans are different.

Gods do not have mortal emotions.

At least Rona didn’t.

Facing such an unfeeling Rona, Yisa felt no resentment; all she felt was a sense of helplessness toward him.

Because she knew very well in her heart that Rona didn’t owe her anything.

The girl crouched in the corner of the room. Having not eaten for several days, her body had become much thinner.

”God?”

She murmured.

Her parents’ departure was related to a god. If she wanted to find them, perhaps only a god could do it.

But no god was willing to help her.

Since that’s the case...

”A mortal... can become a god... right?”
