Global Exploration: Starting from Decrypting Chernobyl

61: Sterling submachine gun! Black shadow on the roof!Just as Zhang Yunlong urgently gathered his sleeping subordinates and headed towards Zemeng Creek, Wu Tian had already passed through the dim interior of the shop and pushed open a small black door.

He entered the back courtyard of the small shop.

”Come in.”

”There’s no ’one’ inside!”

Wu Tian softly called out to the fatty and Zhang Meng, who were waiting outside the shop.

”Rustle, rustle...”

Then came a series of light footsteps, as Zhang Meng and the fatty stealthily crept into the small shop, hunched over like thieves.

They then passed through the small black door.

And arrived beside Wu Tian.

”Here.”

Wu Tian gestured with his chin towards a large pile of items in front of him.

”This is it.”

”These items were all covered by a tarp earlier. I observed them briefly, and this inflatable raft seems to have been updated by the Shopkeeper; the one from ’61 should have been retired.”

”And, this inflatable raft...”

Bang!

Wu Tian patted the black and orange interwoven inflatable raft, smiling slightly.

”It’s still very well-maintained!”

”What about the guns?”

”There!”

Wu Tian pointed to the two submachine guns lying quietly inside the inflatable raft.

”Aren’t those them!”

”...”

Zhang Meng’s eyes lit up.

She immediately crouched down, picked up a semi-automatic submachine gun, and held it in her hands, examining it.

”Excellent!”

”Sterling submachine gun. From 1953 onwards, the England Navy and Air Force deployed these submachine guns in large quantities. Safe, stable, powerful!”

Zhang Meng nodded in satisfaction.

”Click!”

She gently pulled the bolt.

The submachine gun, which had been consistently maintained, showed no signs of stiffness.

”They know how to maintain it!”

”Swish!”

Zhang Meng skillfully detached the magazine.

Bright yellow bullets lay quietly in the magazine, and there were dozens more magazines of the same size on the ground.

”Haha...”

Seeing such excellent firearms and an abundant supply of ammunition.

Zhang Meng finally laughed with relief.

”Excellent!”

”We have an inflatable raft, two submachine guns, and dozens of magazines. This time, we are fully armed.”

”However...”

Zhang Meng showed a hint of regret.

”There are only two guns, but there are three of us.”

”How should we distribute them?”

”Don’t worry about me.”

Wu Tian chuckled.

”You and the fatty each take one of these two guns, and you two can split the magazines evenly. As for me...”

Wu Tian weighed the yue kings heroic sword in his hand.

”Sometimes firearms aren’t necessarily better than cold weapons.”

”I’ll take this!”

”This is handier!”

”...”

Zhang Meng was startled.

Immediately, her mind recalled the incredibly mystical and unscientific way Wu Tian dealt with the possessed Villagers when they encountered them in the village.

She instantly nodded in deep agreement.

”You’re right!”

”This sword is much more useful in your hands than a gun!”

”Then we’ll split the guns!”

”Mm.”

Wu Tian naturally had no objections.

”Fatty!”

Zhang Meng called out in a low voice to the fatty, who was standing guard at the door not far away.

”Come over quickly, I have a weapon for you!”

”Aye!”

As soon as the fatty heard there was a weapon, he scurried over from the door, hunched over and eager!

”Here!”

Zhang Meng handed the submachine gun in her hand to him.

She whispered instructions.

”This is a Sterling submachine gun, with a magazine capacity of 34 rounds, a rate of fire of 550 RPM, which is 550 rounds per minute. The place to reload is...”

”I know!”

The fatty’s eyes lit up as soon as he saw the submachine gun Zhang Meng handed him!

He snatched it from Zhang Meng’s hand!

Swish!

His nimble fingers gripped the gun body, and the slender magazine was steadily caught in his hand.

After fiddling with the brand-new bullets a few times.

The fatty said proudly.

”I know this gun. I have one collected at home, but it’s not as well-maintained as this one.”

”This was known as the finest firearm of the 60s.”

”With this, I’m not afraid of anyone!”

”Oh?”

Zhang Meng was surprised.

”I didn’t expect you to know about guns?”

”What’s so special about that?”

The fatty immediately became displeased upon hearing this.

”Not only do I know about guns, but to use your Dragon Kingdom’s words, I’m also a master marksman who can hit a target a hundred paces away. When I participated in the city-wide shooting competition in Kyiv back then, I won first place!”

”Don’t underestimate me!”

”When it comes to shooting, I’ve got it completely under control!”

”Alright!”

Zhang Meng nodded with a smile.
