Peninsula: Director of Public Prosecutions Starts with Daily Intelligence

He said this, but in his heart, he still accepted Cheng Du’s good intentions.

Cheng Du whispered: “Prosecutor Li, there’s an insider in the Strategy Department! The news was first spread from our Strategy Department.”

“An insider?”

An insider! Terminate the transaction! Lee Se-hyun was so scared he almost pulled out and threw away his newly bought Samsung Note 7.

This might not be about to explode!

Lee Se-hyun nodded, said nothing, and sat back in his office chair, closing his eyes to ponder everything.

According to Cheng Du, the news came from the Strategy Department and spread to all departments of the Seoul Central Prosecutor’s Office. What does that indicate? There’s a bad person in the Strategy Department!

This bad person could be Han Kang-sik, or Yang Dong-cheol, or even that coward Piao Guochang; anything is possible.

Wow! So brain-burning! I feel like my CPU is overloaded. Without symmetric information, there’s no clue at all.

Lee Se-hyun calmed his mind and said serenely, he would still check today’s system refresh intelligence, and deal with other matters later.

Host: Lee Se-hyun

Identity: Prosecutor (Seoul Central Prosecutor’s Office, Strategy Department)

Daily Intelligence: None (Can be refreshed)

Current Version: 1.1

Lee Se-hyun looked at the virtual panel, and his sense of security instantly surged.

He was a man with a golden finger; what was there to fear from rats hiding in the dark? He would meet soldiers with generals and floods with earth!

“System, refresh for me!!”

Ding! Congratulations, Host, refresh successful. Three pieces of intelligence are as follows.

1. Deputy Minister Jiang Zhenmin of the Strategy Department is jealous of Han Kang-sik’s promotion to Minister, creating a rift between them.

2. Director Zheng of Capital City Broadcasting Station secretly enjoys painting ancient-style ink wash paintings and selling them on the market for collection. His pen name is ’Tonight I’ll Beat the Tiger.’

3. Football superstar Son Heung-min is Director Zheng’s nephew.

Lee Se-hyun exclaimed in surprise, “My goodness, two out of three pieces of intelligence are about Director Zheng. Director Zheng’s drop rate is quite high.”

Let’s talk about the first one first.

Is there a conflict between Deputy Minister Jiang of the Strategy Department and Han Kang-sik?

The system’s use of the word ’jealousy’ is very insightful. Is it jealousy that Han Kang-sik was promoted to Minister? Or did he steal the Chief Prosecutor’s wife?

Lee Se-hyun would not comment on this.

It did remind him that Piao Guochang had warned him to be careful, as he seemed to have offended a Prosecutor surnamed Jiang.

Could these two have some illicit dealings? Both surnamed Jiang, they don’t seem like good people at first glance.

Then it makes sense; it’s the rat surnamed Jiang who is backstabbing him.

To get the position of Chief Prosecutor, he needs to ruin Lee Se-hyun’s reputation. This move is truly vicious!

Lee Se-hyun no longer paid attention and looked at the next item. Director Zheng actually had a hobby of painting, which could be a point to cater to his preferences.

What Lee Se-hyun didn’t expect was that this old man, Director Zheng, was actually Son Heung-min’s uncle. This makes things interesting.

Son Heung-min is Ye-sol’s football idol, isn’t he? He could start with Director Zheng to see if there’s a chance to meet this football superstar.

After a brainstorming session and sometidy, Lee Se-hyun decided to visit Director Zheng when he had the chance.

Although he wasn’t particularly interested in the Star Prosecutor plan.

He still owed Ye-sol, the little one, a birthday present.

“Bang bang!”

A knock on the door sounded.

“Prosecutor Li! Minister Han needs to see you.”
