Clan Cultivation: Starting with Building an Island Immortal City

52: His inherent evil nature is revealed, concealing malicious intentions. Before their departure, the Wo Clan selected six clan members, three men and three women.

The three women were the most beautiful in the clan, and the three men were the most intelligent.

The six knelt and pleaded, their words sincere, tears streaming down their faces, expressing their admiration for the divine might and splendor of the Immortal Dynasty’s Celestial Kingdom. They begged to accompany the Cultivators to the Divine Land to experience it firsthand, so that upon their return to the island, they could better persuade their clan members to pay tribute annually, submit as subjects yearly, and forever embrace the King’s transformation.

The Cultivators, seeing their sincerity and pitiful state, and also possessing the magnanimity of a Celestial Kingdom, agreed to their request and brought these six back to the Divine Land.

When Emperor Zheng heard the report and saw the success of the Eastern Sea’s enlightenment, he was greatly pleased. To commend their achievements and set them as an example for the Four Barbarians, he bestowed a mansion upon the six and allowed them to study in the Imperial City for one year.

However, Emperor Zheng was not an ordinary ruler; he deeply understood the principle that those not of our kind will surely have different intentions. He explicitly decreed:

They were only permitted to learn skills for civilian life such as writing, production, and medicine, and were strictly forbidden from prying into Cultivation methods or matters of warfare!

The six were overjoyed, prostrating themselves in gratitude for the Heavenly Grace and agreeing wholeheartedly.

Upon their first entry into the Immortal Qin Imperial City, its prosperity, grandeur, and the pervasive Spiritual Qi far exceeded their impoverished imaginations.

Magnificent palaces and jade towers stood in dense rows, chariots and horses flowed like dragons, and in the market, Cultivators and Mortals coexisted harmoniously. Spiritual light and precious Qi were visible everywhere, truly a scene of a Celestial Kingdom, rich in natural treasures.

However, such a prosperous scene, for these six Wo people who had just left their barbaric land, was not a blessing but rather an ordeal.

They wore crude clan attire, and their words and actions carried the awkwardness and rusticity of uncivilized people.

In the Imperial City streets, they saw exquisite artifacts but did not know their names, observed complex rituals but did not understand their meaning, ate delicious delicacies but did not know how to eat them, and even spoke the official language clumsily and awkwardly, repeatedly causing laughter.

The surrounding citizens of the Immortal Dynasty, seeing their state, mostly offered a kind smile or spoke gentle reminders, with no ill intent.

However, the Bloodline of these six had long been infected by the ”evil marrow of the planet,” and their minds were already in an extremely sensitive state. Coupled with their impoverished origins and shallow knowledge, a deep seed of inferiority had long been planted in their hearts.

Every kind correction from others sounded like sharp ridicule to them; every tolerant smile appeared to them as condescending pity.

They felt like savages who had stumbled into a grand feast, completely out of place, every action appearing crude and ridiculous.

This accumulating sense of embarrassment and inferiority gnawed at their hearts like poisonous insects, making their minds increasingly sensitive and suspicious, twisting all surrounding goodwill into malice.

Their past gratitude for the Divine Land’s assistance quickly eroded in this daily ”sense of humiliation” and ”feeling out of place.”

In its place were burning jealousy and growing resentment!

They resented the injustice of the Heavenly Dao, for why did it allow the citizens of the Immortal Dynasty to enjoy such fertile land and spiritual energy, yet confine their clan to barren, evil lands, fighting for their lives against monsters!

The malevolence of the ”evil marrow of the planet” hidden deep within their Bloodline was completely ignited by this jealousy and unwillingness, quietly growing and twisting their hearts!

They were no longer content with learning miscellaneous civilian skills, turning their greedy gaze towards the Divine Land’s Foundation—the methods of Cultivation!

They wanted to master the Heaven-Defying power!
