I've Already Snagged a Top-tier Goddess at the Start; I'm Incredibly Wealthy!

The Interviewer was a middle-aged woman with glasses, her expression as serious as if you owed her eight million.

”What were your view counts like at Xingyao Media?”

”I... I usually got tens of thousands of views...” Tao Tao answered, lacking confidence.

”Tens of thousands?” The female Interviewer pushed her glasses. ”Any random Internet Celebrity here gets millions of views. Your numbers...”

Qiao Qiaozi quickly tried to salvage the situation: ”Our previous company was being throttled by the platform! Under normal circumstances, our data was really good!”

”Throttled? That means your company had problems.” The Interviewer sneered. ”Qins Media doesn’t keep idle people. You must complete 50,000 yuan in monthly streaming revenue. Fail to meet it, and your performance pay is directly docked.”

Tao Tao’s heart sank. Xingyao Media had never required performance targets... The interview results came out quickly: Base salary 20,000, performance pay 30,000. Fail to meet the target, lose the performance pay. Exceed it, get a bonus.

”This... it’s so much worse than Xingyao Media...” someone whispered.

”Don’t think about that,” Tao Tao gritted her teeth. ”They have traffic here. As long as we can make money! No matter how good Xingyao Media’s benefits were, what’s the use without traffic?”

Things had already come to this; they could only sign the contract first.

Right after signing the contract, Tao Tao habitually opened TikTok to check the trending charts.

What she saw nearly made her drop her phone!

#Cao Lang of Xingyao Media Building an Entertainment Empire# had directly shot to the top of the hot search list!

Clicking in, she saw their previously filmed videos had exploded in view counts. The comment sections were full of praise for Xingyao Media!

”Holy shit! What’s going on?!” Qiao Qiaozi also noticed, her voice cracking with excitement.

”My dance video has 500,000 likes now!”

Just then, an HR Representative walked over, looking displeased: ”A clause you just agreed to in the contract states you must delete all video content related to your previous company. Execute this immediately!”

”What?!” Tao Tao’s eyes widened. ”Why delete them? Those videos are trending right now!”

”It’s company policy. If you don’t delete them, we’ll dock your performance pay—5,000 per video.” The HR person said expressionlessly, as if commenting on the nice weather.

The over forty female Internet celebrities looked at each other, their expressions turning ugly.

They had just been comforting themselves that they’d come to the right place, only to realize in the blink of an eye... they seemed to have boarded a pirate ship.

”You were the ones who actively messaged us to come. Is this your attitude now?”

Someone started to protest.

”You only have two choices: resign, or get fined.”

The HR person looked indifferent. Internet celebrities were just the lowest tier in their company.

After all, she dealt with real celebrities every day.

The group of Internet celebrities instantly deflated like punctured balloons. They could only endure the heartache and delete all the viral videos they had filmed with Cao Lang...
