198: The space elevator is complete, and the public is watching its first run.In Rong City, a young man jumped up and shouted, ”Great God Zhang Yuanhang is awesome!”

This news also spread virally, and soon the whole country, and even the entire Blue Star, knew about it.

”We were just saying that our Huaxia’s ability to transport supplies to Space is relatively poor, but Great God Zhang Yuanhang directly brought out the Space Elevator.”

”Exactly! With the Space Elevator, transporting supplies will be a piece of cake!”

”In the future, things produced on the Moon can also be transported back to our Huaxia more quickly.”

”That’s great!”

…The Huaxia people were all beaming with joy, and many directly bought plane tickets to Rong City to watch the construction of the Space Elevator.

Some shrewd streamers even ran directly to Rong City to live stream.

The large influx of people also significantly boosted Rong City’s tourism industry.

The Director of the Rong City Culture and Tourism Bureau was all smiles.

”Academician Zhang Yuanhang is truly a great blessing for our Rong City!”

”The revenue brought in this time is at least five billion!”

The Director of the Rong City Culture and Tourism Bureau immediately went to the Rongcheng Leader and said with a chuckle.

”This is not even during a holiday. If it were during a holiday, just imagine how many people would come to our Rong City.”

The Rongcheng Leader stated that these were all small gains for now. The real big money would come during the holidays.

With the Space Elevator, it would surely attract countless people to visit in the future.

While Rong City was happily accepting all of this, the Space City of the Space Elevator in Space was already taking shape.

Zhang Yuanhang was also remotely guiding the Shancheng Military Base and the factories on the Moon to start producing the carbon nanotubes needed for the Space Elevator.

These would be a crucial component of the Space Elevator.

At the same time, Academician Zhao and Academician Sun were also responsible for building the ’elevator cabins’ for the Space Elevator. Zhang Yuanhang directly upgraded the ’elevator cabins’.

He replaced the rocket engines from the original elevator technology with Nuclear Fusion Engines.

This made the power stronger, reduced the round-trip time to Space to ten minutes, and allowed for more cargo to be transported, with each trip capable of carrying one thousand tons of goods.

It could carry more than a Space Freighter.

And the Space Elevator had a total of ten ’elevator cabins’.

Simultaneously, a large amount of anti-aircraft defenses were deployed near the Space Elevator to prevent air raids.

”The anti-aircraft defenses around the Space Elevator are no less than those of the Capital!”

Academician Zhao said, looking at the anti-aircraft soldiers deploying equipment not far away.

”What’s that?”

”My friend in the Capital told me that the military is still considering doubling the troops here.”

”Discussions are ongoing, but once it’s decided, the anti-aircraft firepower here will be comparable to that of the Shancheng Military Base.”

Academician Sun said.

Everyone found this both unexpected and within expectations.

The Space Elevator was extremely important to Huaxia at this stage, and the Government would absolutely not allow anything to go wrong with it.

Furthermore, the Space Elevator was not far from the urban area of Rong City. If the Space Elevator were attacked and fell from the sky, it would be disastrous.

Therefore, deploying powerful firepower was naturally reasonable.

”Let’s continue to be busy; we mustn’t hold back young Zhang.”

Academician Zhao motioned for everyone to continue working hard.

Their work was not as easy as Zhang Yuanhang’s. If Zhang Yuanhang finished before them, how could they face him?

So Academician Zhao and Academician Sun led everyone to work overtime.

Everyone was looking forward to the early completion of the Space Elevator.

Especially the pilots of the Space Freighter, who were already exhausted.

The Capital was also extremely concerned about the progress of the Space Elevator.

The Top Leader and Elder Wang, along with other high-ranking officials, would first inquire about the Space Elevator’s progress every morning.

Then everyone would start their day’s work with a good mood.

”At this rate, the Space Elevator will be completed in another five months.”

Elder Wang smiled and came to The Top Leader’s side.
