Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

13: The base staff begged Zhang Yuanhang on their knees: Boss, please take us with you! When everyone saw Academician Li Bing lose his temper, they instantly shut their mouths, but their eyes were still full of defiance.

”You still don’t believe me? Don’t you know, don’t you know...”

Just as Academician Li Bing rolled up his sleeves, intending to reason with these stubborn people, a helicopter belonging to the Air Force flew over rapidly.

”Boom!!!”

With an aerial drift, the helicopter landed heavily on the helipad, startling Academician Li Bing and the others.

Seeing the helicopter ’crash’ down so heavily, everyone mistakenly thought there was something wrong with it.

”Quick, quick.”

”Go call the medic. I hope there are no casualties!”

”The pilot’s skill is good, it didn’t crash directly.”

...The ground crew quickly ran over.

However, before they could get close, the helicopter’s cabin door opened, and Zhao Sheng stepped out.

The helicopter had been speeding with Zhao Sheng all the way, and even during the landing, Zhao Sheng kept muttering in the pilot’s ear. So, the helicopter pilot, in order to land quickly, performed a large aerial drift and then landed on the ground.

Seeing Zhang Yuanhang’s figure, Zhao Sheng quickly ran over.

At this time, Academician Li Bing and the others also recognized Zhao Sheng, because Zhao Sheng had always been responsible for dealing with them, the scientific researchers. Therefore, Academician Qian and Academician Li Bing both knew Zhao Sheng.

Academician Qian, seeing Zhao Sheng running quickly towards him, thought something had happened. Academician Qian had previously participated in the design of many Air Force fighter jets.

Seeing Zhao Sheng run over, he thought there was a major problem with a fighter jet he had helped design.

”Zhao Sheng, is there...”

However, before Academician Qian could finish his sentence, he saw Zhao Sheng run to Zhang Yuanhang, and for a moment, Academician Qian was stunned.

What the hell is this?

”No, Zhao Sheng, my teacher is here.”

Qin Ming, seeing that Zhao Sheng actually went to find that kid Zhang Yuanhang, was instantly furious and spoke without thinking.

”Oh, oh, hello, Academician Qian.”

Zhao Sheng gave Qin Ming a dissatisfied look, then greeted Academician Qian and no longer paid him any attention, turning to look at Zhang Yuanhang with a grin.

Academician Qian, who was already very embarrassed, was now even more embarrassed by his student’s blunder.

He looked at his student Qin Ming with angry eyes.

Seeing his teacher’s gaze that wanted to devour him, Qin Ming shrank his head in fear. He hadn’t expected it either; this Zhao Sheng wasn’t here for his teacher.

”Hello, Comrade Zhang Yuanhang, my name is Zhao Sheng.”

”It’s an honor to meet you. When I came over just now, I saw your invention. That mecha is truly astonishing.”

”The greatest scientist of the 21st century must be you!”

After introducing himself, Zhao Sheng began to flatter Zhang Yuanhang.

”No, no.”

”I still have a lot to learn.”

Zhang Yuanhang waved his hand, feeling a bit embarrassed but very happy in his heart.

”Mecha? Did I hear wrong?”

Academician Qian was full of doubts. What was going on today? First, Li Bing announced that a young boy would be the deputy chief designer, and then he heard someone mention mecha.

”Old Qian, look!”

Academician Li Bing had someone find a tablet and played the video of the mecha test for Academician Qian to watch.

Qin Ming and the others also gathered around.

Watching the video on the tablet, everyone was struck as if by lightning; their entire worldview collapsed.

It took a long time for everyone to gradually recover.

”Old Li, you didn’t happen to show me a movie clip, did you?”

Academician Qian still couldn’t quite believe it. After all, while they were still racking their brains daily for the domestically produced large passenger aircraft, he was suddenly told that someone had already built flying mechas. Anyone would find that hard to accept.

”Guess why he could be directly appointed as deputy chief designer.”

”It’s because he can build an engine with 125 tons of thrust with his own two hands!”

Academician Li Bing explained to everyone why the higher-ups agreed to let Zhang Yuanhang become the deputy chief designer.

As Academician Li Bing’s words fell, the scene instantly quieted down, not even a sound of breathing could be heard.

”Cough, cough, cough!”

After a while, everyone’s faces turned red from holding their breath, and only then did they come back to their senses.
