Venerated Venomous Consort

Gu Xijiu tried very hard to empty her mind so she would not think about anything else.

Time passed by with every second.

They never talked to each other all this while; perhaps there was nothing to talk about.

At the very end, he put her back in bed. She could finally heave a sigh of relief, as both her front and back wounds were properly dressed.

”Thank you very much,” she finally said.

He probably caused most of her wounds, but it was also him who saved her. She could sense that her spirit power was not reduced to a great extent.

Her spirit power was fading away rather quickly just now. Could it be just another illusion due to the sword?

”You are welcome.” He hesitated for a few seconds and continued icily, ”This is an agreement between Long Siye and I. It has nothing to do with you.”

It was ludicrous. It had everything to do with her life affairs, but both of them had completely isolated her from it. Gu Xijiu could not help pursing her lips.

She heard his voice again. ”Alright, you have to stay in bed for two days and only start moving around two days later. You are not allowed to use any power within the first ten days. All spicy food is prohibited, only a light diet is recommended.”

He had given her some instructions that she should be aware of. Gu Xijiu was silent for a while. ”Have I ever told you that Long Siye and I came from the same era?” She suddenly said.

Di Fuyi was puzzled. ”So what?”

Gu Xijiu continued, ”In our times, it is not necessary to get married to be together. As long as both of us are in love, the ceremony will not be the point. We can be lovers for life.”

”So?”

Gu Xijiu smiled, ”Although he had made a life promise not to marry me, I can still be his lover. Why is the ceremony necessary?”

She seemed happier, as her smile grew bigger.

However, she could feel a little anxious in her heart, as she awaited his answer.

Di Fuyi was quiet for a while. He looked at her and saw the smile on her face that was blooming like a flower. Finally, he said, ”Do you really like him so much, to the point of that you would disregard your own status just to be with him?”

”Yes!” Gu Xijiu answered firmly. There was no trace of hesitation.

She disliked the way he made use of somebody else’s misfortune to his own benefit. She disapproved of his arrogance, so she wanted to dash it all and frustrate him.

He had threatened her in such a shameless manner. She could do the same.

The house fell into silence, again. Gu Xijiu raised her head up in bed, like a little leopard that was ready to fight – weak, but with sharp claws.

She did not get his answer in a while, but she knew that he had not left her side. She could somehow feel that he was looking at her from the side of her bed.

He should have taken off his blindfold long ago, but he had not done the same to hers. She could feel his eyes on her.

His momentum was too strong. When he fixed his intense eyes on a person, the strength of his gaze was enough to make one’s heart shudder and one’s hair stands on end.

Gu Xijiu raised her brows. She wanted to remove her blindfold but was stopped by him. ”Gu Xijiu, is it true?”

The temperature of his hand was a little odd – his fingertips were cold, but his palm was warm enough. He placed his hand on hers, so she could not move at all.

”Of course, I like him, so I certainly have to be with him,” said Gu Xijiu, unyieldingly.

”Gu Xijiu, I say this once more, you and he are not fated to be together! You’d better not get yourself into real trouble and suffer from your own consequences!” Di Fuyi was harsh.

”I am willing to. I like it!” Gu Xijiu was harsh in return. He would always put her through a rough time for her, so she would do the same to him.
