Reborn As Super Heiress

Gu Xu and Huo Sining both had no fond feelings toward the Liang Family People. Liang Ruicheng had previously schemed against Huo Sining. Gu Xu had secretly investigated, and knew the Liang Family’s people were not kind-hearted and had unfavorable intentions towards Huo Sining. Since the Liang Family hadn’t caused trouble for Huo Sining before, Gu Xu didn’t bother to deal with them either.

But now that they had intruded on his turf, how could Gu Xu let such a good opportunity slip by?

“Mr. Gu, you are Huo Sining’s fiancé. Now that her uncle is in trouble, I, as her grandmother, am personally asking you for help. You can’t just stand by; if word gets out, it will be a serious matter. Besides, Mr. Gu, with your capabilities, getting my son out is just a matter of words.”

Old Madam Liang and An Hongmei were causing a big scene at Shengtang Headquarters, finally drawing Gu Xu out. Delighted, Old Madam Liang began to rely on her age to persuade Gu Xu for help.

Gu Xu cast a sideways glance at Old Madam Liang and sarcastically remarked:

“Old Madam Liang, what kind of grandmother are you to Huo Sining? You and your son were Mr. Liang Pengzhi’s second wife, if I’m not mistaken. It was because you brought Liang Ruicheng and forced your way in back then, making Huo Sining’s grandmother Huang Chengxiang leave with my father-in-law, starting anew at the foot of the Imperial City.”

“Though it’s been years since this happened, and although nobody mentions it, that doesn’t mean it’s forgotten. Now you’re here claiming to be Huo Sining’s grandmother. Isn’t this ridiculous on a global scale? Do you really want me to expose your past for you to be satisfied?”

Gu Xu’s words left Old Madam Liang quite embarrassed, her face alternating between blue and pale, extremely awkward.

But in the end, Old Madam Liang was old enough. Having been a mistress forcing the main wife into submission in her early years, she had cultivated a thick skin. Seeing Gu Xu bring up past events, Old Madam Liang boldly lied with open eyes:

“Mr. Gu, considering your age, those stories from the past are nothing more than rumors you heard. Back then, it was Huang Chengxiang who wanted the divorce from Liang Pengzhi. I never forced her. And since you acknowledge Liang Ruining as your father-in-law, then it’s true my husband is Huo Sining’s grandfather, right? If my husband is her grandfather, then claiming to be her grandmother isn’t wrong, is it?”

Gu Xu found Old Madam Liang’s eagerness to claim the title of Huo Sining’s grandmother quite annoying. He knew very well that she was desperately trying to establish a connection with Huo Sining, only to have him help get Liang Ruicheng out.
