Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 759: Chapter 755: The Giant Roar from the Sea Floor

The poor old turtle had no idea what had happened before, let alone that while it was asleep, a thief had plundered the treasures it had collected for hundreds of years.

After noticing the old turtle recovering its composure and calmly swimming toward its secret den, someone who had done a guilty deed felt a bit uneasy, and quickly slipped away before the Old Turtle noticed.

According to Huo Sining’s plan, after finishing all these tasks, she only needed to wait on the navigation route until a passing ship came by, then use her invisibility skill to climb aboard another ship heading back to port and hitch a ride to the docks.

But plans can’t keep up with changes, and just as Huo Sining was walking along the navigation route she had taken when she first went into the sea, she suddenly felt the seawater around her churning violently.

Realizing something was amiss in the seawater, Huo Sining instinctively looked up, only to see her face change drastically at the sight before her.

Not more than a few dozen meters from where she stood at the bottom of the sea, a large whirlpool suddenly appeared and, with the whirlpool at its center, everything around was drawn towards it, quickly being engulfed by the whirlpool.

Huo Sining only felt the world spinning beneath her feet, and an immense pulling force surged towards her; in an instant, she felt her body being pushed and shoved toward the location of the whirlpool.

Huo Sining was startled; her body compressed by the force of attraction, as if it was going to fall apart, and her heart pounded uncontrollably, with veins on her forehead ready to burst.

At that moment, the Water-Repelling Pearl, which had shown no reaction until now, suddenly began spinning rapidly in front of her forehead, spinning faster and faster, its emitted light becoming increasingly dazzling.

Soon after, Huo Sining felt the attraction force acting on her gradually weaken and eventually disappear, and she found herself standing steadily in the same spot once more; that feeling of death being just a hair’s breadth away also vanished.

Huo Sining’s heart was still racing, she did not know what had just happened, initially thinking the whirlpool had disappeared. But, looking around, she saw that the large whirlpool was still there and was gradually moving closer to her location.

In the process of the whirlpool’s movement, the entire seabed seemed to boil and churn like boiling water.

Just a few minutes ago, the tranquil underwater world was now frantic and vicious amidst its strangeness, with marine creatures darting about in panic, some of them swept away haphazardly by the dark vortex if they were too slow to evade.

The Seaweed Jungle that Huo Sining had passed through earlier quickly became a mess under the erosion of the whirlpool, and the moss-covered shipwrecks that had been silently lying at the seafloor, already rotten to the core, now, under the whirlpool’s massive force of attraction, they almost immediately disintegrated into countless fragments, floating in the seawater, which became murky.

”What’s going on?!” Huo Sining watched in shock as the increasingly violent whirlpool got closer and closer, mere meters away, a term suddenly came to mind, ”Tsunami?!”

As if to confirm Huo Sining’s thought, at the same moment the word entered her mind, not far from her, the riverbed suddenly shattered like glass.

A vast and bottomless fissure suddenly tore the entire riverbed open, splitting the area that was once a Seaweed Jungle and Shipwreck Remains into two distinct sections.

As the seabed cracked open, what had been a fairly even stretch of ocean floor almost instantaneously transformed. In some places, it rose; in others, it sank; and in yet others, huge gaps appeared as torrents of seawater surged into the fissures and depressions.

Perhaps due to the effect of the Water-Repelling Pearl, such a massive force was destroying everything on the seafloor, yet it seemed as though all had become calm around Huo Sining. She could feel that the drawing force stopped abruptly upon nearing her body. She appeared to be enveloped within an immense invisible bubble that isolated her from everything underwater, thus shielding her from any harm and disturbance from the ocean depths.

With the protection of the Water-Repelling Pearl, Huo Sining was able to stand safely on the ocean floor, confronting the terrifying scenes unfolding before her.
