In the Apocalypse, After Hoarding Supplies, They Teamed Up with a Powerful Figure and Went on a Killing Spree

136: Chapter 136 Zombie ArmyAfter hearing the news Mu Feng brought back, everyone’s mood on the road was quite low, and they only wanted to speed up.

After rushing for five days, they finally returned to Xiyin Base.

Stepping into the villa gate, the warm air was so comforting it made one’s eyes drift shut.

Lu Jinwen didn’t say a word and collapsed straight onto the sofa: ”Oh my, it’s still most comfortable at home.”

Lu Yanxiu brought over a plate of shiny, washed fruit and popped a grape into her mouth: ”When you first arrived, you said you were a guest and had to be polite. Is it home now?”

When he said that, Lu Jinwen wouldn’t have it.

”What are you saying? Sister and Brother-in-law weren’t home then, but aren’t they here now? Isn’t Brother-in-law’s home Sister’s home, and isn’t Sister’s home my home?”

At this moment, she spotted Xiao Sinian, looking perfectly fine, holding Qi Yin’s hand as they came downstairs, and she raised an eyebrow: ”Am I right or am I right?”

Xiao Sinian had long been delighted by her calling him Brother-in-law; even if Lu Jinwen were wrong, he would still say she was right.

”Well said, this is everyone’s home!”

Not knowing where he learned this shameless behavior, Qi Yin couldn’t help but secretly pinch the soft flesh at his waist.

Xiao Sinian immediately raised his hands in surrender: ”I was wrong, babe!”

”Smooth talker!” He was becoming increasingly unreliable, and Qi Yin actually missed the poker face he had when they first met.

Knowing they were returning today, everyone hadn’t gone anywhere and had prepared a huge table of delicious food. Qi Yin even swiped the cherries Xiao Yu had just grown, making the little sprite throw a huge tantrum in the space.

The deep red cherries entered her mouth, leaving a lingering fragrance.

”The delivery mission is complete. What news did our secret scout bring back?” Qi Yin glanced at Mu Feng, who was stuffing his face with chicken cutlet.

Mu Feng slowed down his chewing, seemingly organizing his words, thinking about how he should phrase them.

As they got to the main topic, Xiao Sinian noticed that everyone’s expressions weren’t quite right.

”What’s wrong? Is there a situation?”

Lei Jun and the others didn’t speak, their gazes all fixed on Mu Feng.

Since you did the mission, of course, you should be the one to tell it.

Mu Feng put down his chopsticks, his tone filled with anger.

”After I followed Lei Jun and the others into Shanhe Base, I walked around a few times. The base isn’t large. Just as you, Boss, suspected, Yanqi Mountain and the Black-Robed Person are in cahoots. Furthermore, apart from Yanqi Mountain and a few guards used for camouflage, all the living people in the base are wearing black robes. When I arrived, they were all absorbing the energy from crystal cores; they should all be Ability Users, numbering about five hundred in total.”

Xiao Sinian and Qi Yin exchanged a look. In that case, Tian Zining and the others were the public face at Yanqi Mountain’s side, while the Black-Robed Person mainly operated from behind the scenes.

Qi Yin: ”It’s just a few hundred Black-Robed Persons, that shouldn’t be enough to make you this angry, right?”

She knew Mu Feng wasn’t a person prone to being emotional.

Mu Feng nodded and clenched his fists: ”Boss, do you remember how many troops Yanqi Mountain took with him when he defected from the Security Bureau?”

Xiao Sinian thought back carefully. At that time, the main body of the national Security Bureau plus the army had a total of 120,000 people left. Because the two men had different starting points and stances, these people had basically split into two factions.

One faction was led by President and him, while the other half was like they had been brainwashed by a pyramid scheme, following Yanqi Mountain’s lead in everything.

This portion of people left when Yanqi Mountain announced his withdrawal from the Security Bureau. He and President didn’t stop them; thinking about it, it should have been about one-third.

”About forty thousand.”

Mu Feng spat fiercely: ”Right, Shanhe Base has a very large prison, ten stories high. I originally thought it was for the army to live in. Heh, I snuck in to see, and it really was for the army to live in.”

Those people were even still wearing the Security Bureau’s combat uniforms.

Qi Yin realized the severity of the problem: ”This army, they aren’t human?”
