War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

“So Su Li really obtained the inheritance from a Great Overarching Golden Celestial, and it’s an inheritance from a Sword Celestial?” Duan Ling Tian smiled. He had been curious about who had obtained the inheritance. After all, if it were not because he had arrived late, he would definitely be able to obtain the inheritance from a Great Overarching Golden Celestial. He had felt regretful for losing this chance, but now that he found out Su Li was the recipient of the inheritance, all his regrets disappeared.

Duan Ling Tian turned to look at the white-clad lady in the distance and said, “Looks like that girl really had gotten herself an extremely great deal!”

…

“The Great Overarching Golden Celestial who left his inheritance in the Beyond Heaven Secret Zone is a Sword Celestial?” The grey-clad old man widened his eyes surprised when he learned about this.

“Yes, ancestor,” Ren Yuan Jie answered reverently.

The grey-clad old man’s eyes brightened and a hint of expectation could be seen in his eyes as he asked, “Then, did you… did you obtain the inheritance?”

Ren Yuan Jie shook her head and the expectation in the grey-clad old man’s eyes was replaced by disappointment immediately.

“Do you know who had obtained it?” The old man asked.

“It’s him,” Ren Yuan Jie replied as she turned to look at Su Li. Her eyes were filled with jealousy at this moment.

“Him?” The grey-clad old man shifted his attention to Su Li again and his attitude took a 180-degree turn. Initially, he did not think there was anything special about Ren Yuan Jie’s sword slave. Who knew he had obtained the inheritance from a Great Overarching Golden Celestial?

“Yes,” Ren Yuan Jie nodded and said, “Initially, he was much weaker than me. However, after he obtained the inheritance, he has become slightly stronger than me.”

Upon hearing Ren Yuan Jie’s words, the grey-clad old man looked at Su Li and asked him eagerly, “Since you’ve obtained the inheritance from a Great Overarching Golden Celestial and became stronger than Yuan Jie, are you still planning to keep your words and remain as her sword slave?”

Su Li replied indifferently, “How can a man stand tall if he doesn’t keep his words?”

Ren Yuan Jie was impressed by Su Li’s words.

Even the grey-clad old man’s impression of Su Li rose when he heard Su Li’s words. He said, “Yuan Jie, let me make a decision on your behalf this time. Release Su Li from his promise to become your sword slave. Do you agree?”

Ren Yuan Jie quickly replied after she recovered from her shock, “I will follow your orders, ancestor.”

“Senior, you are…” Su Li frowned when he heard the grey-clad old man’s words.

Ren Yuan Jie interrupted Su Li and quickly said, “Su Li, you did not break your promise. I’m willingly freeing you from your promise. There’s no need for you to think too much into it.”

“But…” Su Li looked at Ren Yuan Jie in confusion. After all, he knew she was not such an understanding person. After a while, he thought to himself, ‘It seems like she’s only doing this because of this old man from Yellow Thearch Mansion.’

“It is decided then!” The grey-clad old man said jovially as he looked at Su Li. Then, he asked, “Su Li, I would like to invite you to join our Yellow Thearch Mansion. Are you willing to join us?”

‘Here it is!’ Su Li thought to himself. This was the caveat of being released from his promise. He knew things would not be so simple. The grey-clad old man had made Ren Yuan Jie release him as a sword slave before extending an invitation to him to join Yellow Thearch Mansion, intending to tie him to Yellow Thearch Mansion completely!
