Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Furthermore, Ye Jingcheng wasn’t joking. If the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor refused, he would truly kill it. Giving it multiple chances was out of the question. Feeding a Tier Five Demon Emperor’s Beast Infant to his Spirit Beasts could very well help those Demon Kings break through to become Demon Emperors.

This was especially true for Ye Jingcheng’s Roc Fish, which was only a short step away from the Golden Core Peak. Furthermore, the physical materials of a Tier Five Demon Emperor were valuable Spiritual Objects that he could easily trade at future exchange meets. The only reason he planned to spare this Primordial Shark Demon Emperor was his desire to provide the Ye Clan with more Spirit Beasts, thereby accelerating the Ye Family Members’ Cultivation. After all, the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor led an entire tribe. Establishing a Soul Contract with one was equivalent to binding twelve Primordial Sharks, making it highly suitable for guarding the Ye Clan’s Sea Domain.

“I submit,” the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor agreed, feeling utterly humiliated.

Back then, the Old Cold Flood Dragon had bullied it in the exact same way, stealing its most precious Spiritual Object. Now, it was being forced into a corner once again. However, its fear of death far outweighed its sense of humiliation. It plotted inwardly, planning to lead the other Primordial Sharks away as soon as this human left.

It had heard of the Human Race’s Blood Contract, but once a Demon Beast reached the Nascent Soul stage, it formed a Beast Infant. As long as it could endure the resulting injuries, it wouldn’t need to fear a Blood Contract too much. Seeing Ye Jingcheng condense a drop of Essence Blood just as it expected, the shark felt even more relieved. This was the Blood Contract it was familiar with. Outwardly, of course, it maintained a facade of absolute sincerity.

The next moment, the drop of Essence Blood fell. To the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor’s confusion, the contract headed straight for its Beast Infant. It wondered in absolute horror what kind of contract this was.

But right at that moment, Ye Jingcheng activated the Soul Contract, instantly plunging the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor into a living hell. It felt as if its Divine Soul had been cleaved in two. The overbearing nature of the Soul Contract was on full display. Because Ye Jingcheng could sense the Demon Emperor’s Divine Soul Fluctuations, he would instantly know whatever thoughts crossed its mind.

“Fellow Daoist Primordial Shark, it seems you do not have much respect for the contract!” Ye Jingcheng said faintly.

This prompted the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor to beg for mercy. “Master, I wouldn’t dare! Please spare my life, Master,” it pleaded through its agonized HOWLS. The pain of its soul tearing apart was truly unbearable.

Seeing this, Ye Jingcheng finally nodded. It wasn’t because he felt the punishment was sufficient, but rather because outside, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon, the Roc Fish, the Golden Falcon, and Baimei were still engaged in a standoff with the remaining Primordial Sharks. He wasn’t worried that these Primordial Sharks would hurt his Spirit Beasts; instead, he feared his Spirit Beasts would start eating the sharks.

This was especially true for the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon. Its jaws were unhinged wide, and it kept ROARING continuously. Considering its current level of Spiritual Wisdom, it could have easily spoken the human language. Putting on such a display could only mean one thing: it wanted a massive feast.

“Master, please spare the lives of my clansmen,” the Primordial Shark Demon Emperor repeatedly begged. Despite its fear of Ye Jingcheng punishing it again, it noticed that its kin were in a state no less miserable than its own. If it didn’t speak up now, they would truly be swallowed by that cold flood dragon.

“Uncle Xuecang, this Shark Emperor has been subdued,” Ye Jingcheng said with a smile.

He also asked Uncle Xuecang to establish Blood Contracts with the Late Stage of Fourth Tier and Mid-stage Fourth Tier Primordial Sharks. Although Ye Jingcheng’s Divine Soul was strong enough to support many contracts at the moment, he might need to contract many Tier Five Demon Emperors in the future. Naturally, he couldn’t just waste his Soul Contracts on any random Spirit Beast. By binding the emperor of the pack through a Soul Contract, he basically controlled the entire tribe anyway.
