My Youth Began With Him

“I don’t mind. You can smoke.” Huo Mian used to smoke when she felt very blue, so she understood how Nie Lingxuan was feeling right now.

“Thank you for listening to me ramble, Doctor Huo.” Nie Lingxuan put the cigarette in her mouth and slowly puffed out some smoke.

You’re welcome. I’m very patient with all of my patients. I’m just doing my job.”

“Doctor Huo, the second thing I want to ask for your help with is something a bit selfish. I’ve hesitated a long time before I came to ask for your help.” Nie Lingxuan looked at Huo Mian with a complicated look on her face.

“Go ahead and say it.” Huo Mian looked calmly at her.

“I know you’re the one President Su likes…” Nie Lingxuan said.

“And?” Huo Mian did not understand what Nie Lingxuan was getting at.

“I want to ask you to teach me how to make President Su like me. It’s okay even if it’s just a little bit.” Nie Lingxuan looked like a teenage girl in love right now.

Huo Mian, on the other hand, was not shocked. In front of her was another girl that fell in love with the charming Su Yu.

“Uh…” Huo Mian didn’t know how to respond.

“Doctor Huo, is this request too much to ask for? I’m sorry to ask you so abruptly. I know we just met and I shouldn’t be asking such a personal favor. It’s just that I can’t help it. When my sister was still here in China, she warned me many times not to fall in love with President Su because President Su wouldn’t like celebrities like us. In the end, though, I don’t know why but I still fell for him. Love is so unpredictable. Every time I see him, I’m very nervous and my heart rate increases. It’s like he’s my first love. I’m not a teenager anymore but I’m still so attracted by this man. That’s why I’m not willing to give up so easily. Please teach me. Also, please don’t mistake this for anything more. I’m different than Jian Tong. I’m not a calculative b*tch,” Nie Lingxuan explained as she was afraid Huo Mian would take this in the wrong way.

Huo Mian knew approximately where Nie Lingxuan was getting to. Nie Lingxuan wanted to express her feelings towards Su Yu and she wanted Huo Mian to help her. She also didn’t want Huo Mian to mistake her for people like Jian Tong and Zhao Qingya, who brought on their own demise.

Huo Mian looked at this face that resembled her friend, Xixi, in front of her. She believed that Nie Lingxuan was a nice girl and would not act like Jian Tong.

However, this was about Su Yu and Huo Mian did not know how much she could help this girl in front of her.

“Miss Nie, I understand what you mean. I am a close friend with Su Yu and he has taught me many things. If it was something else, I probably could help but this is about his love life… There have to be mutual feelings between the two parties for a relationship. You’re one of the artists under Imperial Star Entertainment, so you probably know how Su Yu is. I’m his friend and I don’t think I can help you with that,” Huo Mian said politely.

Nie Lingxuan nodded and said, “I understand what you mean, Doctor Huo. I don’t mean for you to help make me President Su’s girlfriend. I just want to know if you could tell me what types of girls President Su likes. Maybe just give me a hint so I can know for future reference.”

Huo Mian sighed softly and said, “Like what you said just now, love isn’t a rational thing. A person that someone perceives as ordinary may be an invaluable person to another. Some people may think they are better than others. Maybe these people are indeed very smart people but many of these people can’t find someone right for them. Even if I tell you what Su Yu likes, you still might not be able to win his heart… Only when a person doesn’t love someone yet would he or she set all kinds of standards for his or her future soulmate, but once there’s true love, those rules and standards would all go out of the window. There is one thing I can tell you. This is something very essential to a girl if she wants Su Yu to like her…” Huo Mian said but then paused.

“What is it?” Nie Lingxuan asked anxiously.
