Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”But my master is dead!”

”The Ancient Ultimate Revered, the Almighty Immortal Emperor, had a lifespan as long as Heaven and Earth. He led the Universe of Immortals and Heroes in resisting the Demon Tribe, fending off the Demon Realm for over a billion years. He even coerced the Demon Tribe into signing a ten-thousand-year truce. Yet, he is dead!”

”Don’t you want to know how he died?”

”What does his death have to do with me?” Wen Yu replied indifferently.

”It has everything to do with you!” the Almighty Demon Vine responded, its voice filled with unprecedented sorrow.

”Among the countless worlds ravaged by the Demon Tribe, there were some of astonishing talent and brilliance. Some had supreme beings ruling over them, like the Spirit Light Great World. Some had formidable power systems even before the development of a professional system, like the Star Swallowing Beast Great World. And others that had both, like the Universe of Immortals and Heroes.

”But they all met the same end!

”Extinguished lifeforms, withering worlds!

”Don’t you find it strange? Why are the Demon Tribe always victorious?

”Don’t you want to know how those supreme lifeforms that even the Demon Tribe could not deal with were annihilated?

”Don’t you want to uncover the truth?

”I can assure you, if you do not seize this opportunity, if you do not take some risks, you will not survive. No matter how strong you are, you won’t survive, just like my master!

”With me, your life could be virtually endless. But just like the Almighty Immortal Emperor!

”Even with endless life, death is inevitable. Ask yourself, is there much difference between dying early or late?

”If you do not want to enter, I won’t blame you. This Soul won’t exist for much longer. Perhaps in ten minutes, the Dominator will send someone to reclaim this unexpected element.

”By then, the Dominator will definitely erase all traces left by my master, and you will know nothing! Then, this world, which lacks powerful experts and whose Technological System isn’t high-grade, will shiver in the face of the demon plague.

”Under the locked atmosphere, even if you reach Level 10, you won’t be able to leave this planet. You can only fight for survival on this dying world, ’enjoying’ your extended life.

”Does that make sense? Is this what you wanted? Is this the kind of survival you wanted? Is this what you strive for?”

”No, it’s not!” Wen Yu replied definitively.

This way of living is not what he wants. However, what Wen Yu really cares about isn’t this!

”In your words, you’ve been talking about the truth and such, but you didn’t touch on your true intention. Can I understand that your real goal isn’t visiting your master’s tomb, but something else?”

After dealing with people like Lin Haifeng, it was fair to say Wen Yu had grown.

”Yes!”

”My master instructed me before his death to bring the next host to his tomb! This is my goal!”

Perhaps time was pressing—as the Almighty Demon Vine had said, the Dominator was about to recall it, and this wasn’t a false claim. So, at this moment, the Almighty Demon Vine decisively revealed its true goal.

”Is it good or bad?”

”I don’t know; it’s just an order from my old master!”

The danger had increased... Wen Yu hesitated again. He really wanted to know the truth, but he understood very clearly that the more one knew, the sooner one might die.

Time passed, minute by minute, until he sensed the Almighty Demon Vine’s Spiritual Fluctuation, filled with despair and resignation, enter his mind.

”Fine, if you don’t want to go, let it be...”

”Who said I don’t want to go?” Wen Yu retorted, a teasing smile on his lips. He stowed his three soul pets away and nonchalantly reached out to touch the door of the treasure land.

Just now, Wen Yu indeed had serious concerns. However, the Almighty Demon Vine’s response at the last moment persuaded him.

At least the Almighty Demon Vine did not use its still superior Soul Power to threaten Wen Yu!

At least the Almighty Demon Vine respected Wen Yu’s choice.

From this aspect, the Soul of the Almighty Demon Vine doesn’t seem evil—at least not towards Wen Yu.

This could also hint at the nature of the Almighty Immortal Emperor—a servant reflects his master. If a bloodthirsty Almighty Demon Vine could be so, then the Almighty Immortal Emperor shouldn’t be too bad, right...?

No! There is no theoretical basis for this!

At least, Wen Yu wouldn’t be naive enough to believe in the character of an old monster who died countless years ago and gamble with his life!
