Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier would actively absorb the energy of life forms that died within it and transport this energy to the chrysalises. This provided the growing synthetics inside with the necessary nutrients for their growth. In other words, it was impossible not to kill these cannon fodder who willingly sought death here. But once you did, you were merely providing nutrients for a stronger enemy’s growth.

This was an unsolvable, vicious cycle.

Thinking this, Wen Yu immediately entered a battle-ready stance and slowly extended his right hand.

A black light gradually condensed at his fingertip, growing deeper and more profound. A second later, a black Energy Fluctuation rapidly shot out from Wen Yu, directly hitting the nearest chrysalis.

The violent darkness energy exploded instantaneously. Under the unparalleled shockwave, the chrysalis trembled violently, then...

Visibly, the chrysalis swelled rapidly, its form instantly becoming a size larger.

The entire Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier could absorb various internal attacks—including physical and energy attacks—converting them into pure energy. This energy could reinforce the barrier’s defense capabilities and even accelerate the formation of the life forms inside the chrysalises.

The chrysalises connected to the Purple Light Spawn and Grow Barrier naturally inherited this trait.

The attack had no effect—this was within Wen Yu’s expectations. The Demon Tribe would never deploy a technology with such obvious flaws on the battlefield.

Having confirmed the information he had obtained outside, Wen Yu quickly established a mental link with Victor.

This time, the communication was unobstructed; the mental connection was very stable.
