Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Exactly. That is what I have been striving for, and what I will continue to fight for in the future.”

”And the Sequence is connected to the great secret of this apocalypse—it relates to the Dominator’s purpose!”

”Nothing in this world exists without reason. The Dominator didn’t establish the Sequence on a whim; there’s a deeper purpose and meaning behind it. To uncover the Dominator’s secrets and purpose, we must unite all available forces. The Sequence members are the most crucial among them!”

”Perhaps I’m speaking rather grandly, but you must understand: the Sequence doesn’t belong to Wen Yu, nor does it belong to you, Kuangliu. It belongs to the entire Human Race!”

”The Sequence members are the Human Race’s sharpest blade, the key to the Dominator’s hidden machinations, and even the backbone and banner of the Human Race. How could I allow them to slip from our control?”

”Initially, I hadn’t planned to agree to the American military’s scheme against Wen Yu, but something happened recently...”

”Sequence Number 7 Akad single-handedly massacred a British armored corps of 30,000! Concurrently, he destroyed two large gathering points, resulting in over 100,000 deaths! Then, Akad stormed into the London military command headquarters and crushed the heads of eight high-ranking military leaders, including the Supreme Commander of the British military...”

”All of Britain was plunged into a blood-soaked turmoil. The military lost its command structure, and the nation hasn’t recovered even now. The incident was triggered merely by a low-ranking military officer who verbally offended Akad.”

”Hundreds of thousands of lives, and the associated losses are incalculable! Merely because of a verbal dispute...”

”You can imagine, can’t you? The terrifying destructive potential of an unrestricted super-powerful expert!”

”And that’s just Sequence Number 7. Consider Sequence Number 2 and Sequence Number 4, who are even stronger!”

”The Sequence members are the Human Race’s battle saber. If controlled, they will become the Demon Tribe’s nightmare. If uncontrolled, they will become a malignant tumor on the Human Race!”

”Now, reconsider Wen Yu’s personality.”

”Self-serving, selfish, and lacking a sense of the bigger picture.”

”Under normal circumstances, it might be acceptable. But with the demon plague imminent and a war between races on the verge of eruption, I cannot allow Wen Yu to act solely on his whims. Expecting Wen Yu to obey orders and adhere to wartime regulations is undoubtedly wishful thinking. Therefore, Wen Yu must be brought under control, even if it’s done passively.”

”Currently, Qin Min, Fang Bai, and Michael have joined forces to hunt down Akad. Sequence Number 1 has also located Sequence Number 4 and is negotiating with him, but the initial talks have not been promising. The main focus is on Sequence Number 2.”

”Again, the Sequence doesn’t belong to any single individual; it belongs to the entire Human Race! If Sequence members cannot serve the Human Race, why should they hold that title? Previously, our strength was insufficient, so we could only cooperate with Wen Yu. But now, our strength—in every aspect—far surpasses these Independents. Why should we allow them to run amok unchecked?”

Kuangliu remained silent for a long time before finally asking in a low voice, ”Aren’t you afraid that if the plan fails, it will provoke a backlash from these powerful Independents?”

”I’m not. Even if the plan fails, I have contingencies. So, proceed with the plan concerning Wen Yu. I can assure you that even if it fails, Wen Yu won’t be able to stir up any major trouble.”

”However, you must be cautious. If the plan fails, Wen Yu will likely target you. In that scenario, your priority is to ensure your own survival and retreat to the designated location.”

Kuangliu pondered for a long time before finally asking, ”So, what exactly is the plan targeting Wen Yu?”

Lin Haifeng, on the other end of the communicator, sighed and said.

”That story must begin with the name: Sin City...”

P.S.: Only part of the plan has been revealed... the rest will be continued tomorrow.

In fact, you guys can take a guess. The clever readers should have already guessed some of the traps by now, as well as why I said that this plot would be a turning point.
