Capítulo 1849: Chapter 1817: The Death of the Master of Rain

Rain Master Divine Palace.

Located in the western Xingtian Dao Court, this Divine Court serves as one of the major weather hubs of the realm, overseeing the divine duties of rain across numerous worlds, hence the endless offering of incense fire from people all over the world, forming clouds.

The duty of rain is indeed crucial.

From the fields of mortals in the Human World, to lakes and rivers, and even places nurturing Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, where does not require rainwater?

If there is a lack of rain, crops in the fields will wither, rivers and lakes will dry up, resulting in the death of many mortals and Divines.

This divine position is considered high and influential, affecting billions of lives, it is a core position of the Divine Dao, possessing the potential power to sway the Dao Court.

Therefore, many Divine Dao civilizations split this position into four separate divine duties: Master of Rain, Marquis of Wind, Duke of Thunder, and Mother of Lightning. Any large-scale rain must be granted by the Dao Court’s decree, confirmed by the four gods of weather, otherwise, to rain without permission and not obey orders is an extremely serious crime, even rebellion, potentially leading to the death of Divines, thus it is sternly regulated.

In fact, despite the authority, the Master of Rain, although noble by title, cannot make unilateral decisions about rain and faces numerous constraints, not fully matching the name of the divine position.

Yet, even so, no Divine dares to underestimate the Master of Rain.

The Master of Rain strictly adheres to the Dao Court’s decrees for each rain, not daring to increase or decrease even a fraction of rainwater, not daring to delay the timing of rainfall by even a second, with no room for flexibility.

But where do the decisions regarding the amount and timing of rain come from?

Is it not from the opinions of meteorological Divines like the Master of Rain, agricultural Divines, city deities managing production in various regions?

Among these consultative Divines, the Master of Rain’s opinion is certainly significant.

Though far from making decisions alone, having significant influence is inevitable.

“…Back again.”

Yu Yong emerges from a vortex, appearing within the Rain Master Divine Palace.

This is a palace formed by pure white cloud Qi, numerous streams flow through the clouds, falling down, then returning to the highest point, circulating repeatedly, a constant downpour fills the air, the sound of rain never ends, surrounded by thick water vapor, almost overwhelming.

This extremely abundant moisture makes beings uncomfortable, not suitable for living.

Yet for Yu Yong, upon entering, a warm and comfortable feeling washes over him, as if returning to his mother’s womb, his Divine Soul and Mana growing subtly over time.

“Greetings, Master!”

A group of Clam Girls and Fish Girls gracefully bow, surrounded by a phalanx of Shrimp Soldiers, Crab Generals, and Fish Soldiers as guards.

“Hmm.”

Yu Yong finds nothing unusual, silently walking among the rain-filled palace, asking, “Where is the main body?”

“Master,”

“The Great Master is with Wind God, Thunder God, and Electric Mother in cloud gathering and rain spreading.”

A nearby Clam Girl answers crisply, “In the Domain between, wars have raged for thousands of years, causing great impact. Though many agricultural divines provide care, setting limits, the production of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures is still affected. The Dao Court issued a Class B decree reprimanding a century ago, causing the Great Master to be busy these past years, discussing with agricultural divines how to minimize losses.”

“Absurd.”

“What does the decline in production of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures have to do with us?”

Yu Yong frowns slightly, “The great struggle of the Qi Fortune Dynasty is a heavenly policy set by the Dao Court, providing a vast amount of Divine Soul raw materials to the divines of the Ministry of Works, resulting in the continuous production of divine weapons and expansion of the Dao Court’s God Army, isn’t this an achievement?”

“Master,”

“That’s how it’s said.”

The Clam Girl smiles wryly, “But the decline in production of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures is indeed real, and the Dao Court’s penalties are according to law, no one can be exempted.”

“Whatever.”

Yu Yong stops talking.
