Bombarding Cultivators with Cluster Artillery

”I’m only at the Middle Jindan Stage, still with a sliver of hope on my path. Who knows how many Spirit Stones I’ll need.”

”From fighting Xuetu Hall for so long, I’ve consumed a massive amount of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures and Spirit Stones.”

”I also have a good-for-nothing legitimate son, whose aptitude is far worse than the incomplete Xiantian Sword Body, as well as inferior in temperament and understanding. Raising him alone is more troublesome than raising three Gold Core seedlings, but he’s my son!”

”We can’t abandon our own sons for the sake of disciples, can we?”

”Adding all these up, raising another seed for a Gold Core Sword Cultivator, it’s unaffordable.”

Sword Cultivators are famously extravagant in their use of Spirit Stones, no amount ever seems enough.

”Then just treat him as an ordinary disciple, and let him earn his own Golden Core opportunity...”

Cultivator Baimei struggled to continue talking.

”This is not raising a personal disciple; it’s raising an enemy!”

Zhou Sanyan shook his head repeatedly, ”Brother, you also came up as a disciple, how can you not know? If one person has enough Spirit Stones, elixirs, heavenly treasures, and opportunities for the Golden Pill, but another has nothing, how can one not be resentful?”

”There will definitely be bitterness in their heart!”

”If it were an ordinary person holding a grudge, I wouldn’t even glance at them, can’t be bothered to care.”

”To be resented by a flawed Xiantian Sword Body, I really fear that I won’t be able to restrain myself one day and kill him before he has the chance to grow.”

”I really can’t refrain!”

”What should we do then?”

Cultivator Baimei faced a dilemma, ”Brother, it’s difficult enough for me to raise a Sky Spiritual Root, let alone leave some legacy for my descendants and cultivate another Gold Core Sword Cultivator seed... I truly am powerless.”

”Just let some base-building junior cultivate him?”

”To insult someone like that, we might as well kill him directly and be done with it, once and for all.”

Zhou Sanyan rolled his eyes.

”Nonsense! This is a flawed Xiantian Sword Body!”

Cultivator Baimei chastised, ”If by any small chance he grows up, the Sect handed down from our Ancestor Masters could welcome a time of prosperity, and our descendants would bask in the glory.”

”To kill him with a slap, you sure have a big temper!”

They looked at each other, both in a quandary.

Killing him is not an option, nor is cultivating him without any Spirit Stones. They were in a lose-lose situation.

”We definitely don’t have the Spirit Stones and heavenly treasures to cultivate a Gold Core Sword Cultivator seed, nor can we simply conjure them up.”

”How about,”

Zhou Sanyan pondered and then suggested an idea, ”we give him a name?”

”A name? What do you mean by that?”

Cultivator Baimei knew that this younger fellow sect brother always had eccentric ideas and immediately became curious.

”We accept the disciple on behalf of our teacher!”

Zhou Sanyan uttered a few words, ”In that case, both of us are his senior brothers, not his masters. Casual guidance now and then should suffice, with no need to go all out in mentoring him, to avoid breeding resentment from differential treatment.”

”If we occasionally lend a hand or give something, he’d have to be grateful to us, the senior brothers!”

”That won’t do!”

Cultivator Baimei rejected without giving it a second thought.

”To become senior brothers with a mortal, you may lose face, but I can’t affront myself!”

”Once it gets out, I, your senior brother, can forget about meeting fellow cultivators ever again.”

”That’s up to you.”

Zhou Sanyan was indifferent and didn’t insist.

By the time the next generation of Gold Core cultivators grows up, he would either have turned into a pile of bones or be nearing the end of his life span, unable to reap any benefits.

The main beneficiaries would be his descendants.

”Otherwise, you might take a portion from the inheritance for your descendants and the Sect could tighten its belt for a few decades. Then we might barely gather the resources to cultivate a Gold Core seed.”

In consideration of the Sect, he gave a final piece of advice.

”Sigh!”

Cultivator Baimei’s face showed bitterness as he sighed deeply.

”When our master was about to pass away, he dearly wished for a junior disciple, and I’ve always regretted not fulfilling that wish. Now here he is, isn’t he?”

”Let’s go, let’s meet our junior disciple.”
