Chapter 739: Chapter 285: Talent Enhancement (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

“Hmm? From Olena? Read it!” Colin furrowed his brow and took another sip of his Jotun red tea, clueless as to how Olena could have urgent information.

And as the Vice Minister of Task Hall Affairs, shouldn’t she be staying inside the Sword Bearers Branch, dutifully handling official business?

Why run outside?

It seems the Task Hall’s work is really relaxed.

“…Meister, Earl Habbs Mansion, encountered a ‘Legendary Mong,’ an ancient Legendary warrior from the Black Flame Cult whose strength had not fully recovered…”

“…Our own Epic Sword Bearer Captain, Lord Rein, in a one-on-one struggle, killed Legendary Mong on the spot…”

“Pfft!” Colin sprayed the young, charming female clerk in front of him with Jotun red tea.

Especially her chest was drenched, but Colin made no move to wipe it clean or take advantage, instead freezing in place.

When Colin heard the previous sentence about a Legendary Cult warrior, his expression changed!

He thought that what followed would surely be a report of how many had died, and quite possibly, that Earl Habbs also met some misfortune.

Even… that the entire Count Mansion was a scene of utter devastation, with no survivors.

But who would have thought that the next sentence would suddenly take such a turn, with Rein having slain the Legendary Cultist on the spot?

Wait?

Rein?

Was this the newcomer Rein who joined the branch less than two months ago?

“Did you just say Rein? The one known as ‘Meister’s Siege Hammer’ Rein?”

Since the last time Rein incidentally took out Galina, the high priestess of the Black Flame Cult in Wels County, and destroyed a golem guardian, Colin had firmly memorized Rein’s name.

The charming female clerk took out a tissue, wiping the tea foam off her fair “weapon” while giving her boss a slightly reproachful look, “Yes, Lord Kekolin.”

“Legendary warrior? Gravely wounded?”

“Yes.”

“That’s impressive! Absolutely astounding!”

“He’s only been with the Sword Bearers for a short while, and he’s reached such heights already? Truly… his potential is limitless.” Vice Minister Colin stroked his balding pate and couldn’t help but exclaim.

At that moment, there was another knock at the door, and another female clerk stood anxiously at the entrance.

“Come in!”

“What is it? Speak.”

“Umm… Lord Kekolin, this… can’t be spoken of.”

“This report is urgent intelligence from Task Hall Affairs Vice Minister Olena, marked as confidential. Currently, in the entire intelligence hall, only you have the authority to view it.” The female clerk looked around and said.

Confidential intelligence, ordinary staff of the intelligence hall were not allowed to view it; according to regulations, only Vice Ministers and above could.

“Hmm? Olena again?” Colin was taken aback.

Once Colin received it, he gestured for the two female clerks to step back a little.

He first checked whether the red wax was intact according to regulations, and checked whether the Seal Ring’s imprint on the red wax matched the sender’s, before opening the envelope.

Seconds later, Colin was utterly shocked when he finished reading the secret report, his eyes wide, his mouth agape.

The two female clerks saw their superior’s expression and exchanged glances, speculating in their hearts — had something major happened in Meister? Was the Cult that formidable?

Colin’s mind was buzzing at the moment!

Several key terms swirled around his head… “Prince Menia the Imperial Dragon Knight,” “Epic-level Fighter,” “Consecrated Artifact”…

Each term should be extremely distant from a new recruit Sword Bearer.

But now, all of these terms surrounded this new recruit!

“Lord Kekolin?”

“Lord? According to regulations, we must report confidential intelligence immediately, remember?” The female clerk tentatively inquired.

“Oh right, yes!” The realization dawning, Colin slapped his shiny forehead, saying, “I’ll go to Admiral Edward’s place right away and come back soon.”

“Very well, Lord Kekolin!”

Colin swiftly shuffled his slightly portly figure and trotted out of the intelligence hall.
