Chapter 411: Chapter 203: Above Secret Techniques – Secret Technique (Combined Chapter)_4

He recognized this servant, who was responsible for the stables at their mansion, feeding and taking care of the horses.

“How’s ‘Black Pearl’?” Lord Rein asked casually.

‘Black Pearl’ was that black warhorse. Ever since about two months ago, when Rein had been adding a mutation growth potion to its feed, the creature’s physique had become increasingly robust and large.

As for why it was named ‘Black Pearl’, one would only need to refer to the origin of the greyhound ‘Cookie’ to understand.

It was a name given by his sister Bo He, and it must be said, this time the naming showed progress compared to the greyhound’s.

“Well… sir, ‘Black Pearl’ has seemed to bulk up even more recently. Its appetite is now shockingly large, consuming a whole bag of high-quality feed or grass in one meal, which is nearly three times the amount a normal warhorse would eat,” the stableman reported.

“Hmm, you’ve worked hard. If you want a horse to run, you’ve got to let it eat its fill!” Rein said with a smile.

“Everything else is normal. Oh, but it seems to prefer not being cooped up in the stable. It likes to roam outside, so sometimes it gets a bit irritable,” the stableman continued.

Rein nodded in understanding; indeed, it had been a while since he had ridden out on it.

The backyard space only allowed the horse to move slightly, nowhere near enough to gallop freely.

Looking up, Rein saw that ‘Black Pearl’ now had a completely different appearance from the other ordinary horses beside it.

A standard big horse with a high head, its black coat glossy and sleek. Just moving around casually revealed the strong, bulky muscles underneath its skin.

It could be said, without any exaggeration, that in the company of seven or eight warhorses, it stood out like a crane among chickens.

Rein made a careful comparison. If the shoulder height of a regular warhorse in the stable was about 1.4 to 1.5 meters, then ‘Black Pearl’s’ shoulder height had now reached 1.8 meters.

Mind you, that’s the shoulder height. If you add the neck and the head, ‘Black Pearl’s total height exceeded 2.2 meters.

Obviously, such a significant change could no longer be simply described as ‘bulked up.’

The reason, naturally, was due to the continuous intake of the mutation growth potion for two months, which had induced some kind of mutation in ‘Black Pearl,’ resulting in a complete alteration of its physique.

If it were merely a matter of muscle gain, the horse’s skeletal structure would not have changed, but at this moment, ‘Black Pearl’s’ bone structure and appearance had both transformed.

Seeing Rein approach, ‘Black Pearl’ nickered twice, snorted, and then rubbed its forehead against the palm of Rein’s outstretched hand.

Clearly, ‘Black Pearl’ was very happy about Rein’s arrival.

Rein stroked ‘Black Pearl’s’ head and took out the intelligence potion he was carrying, pouring it into the feed trough filled with high-quality feed.

As the pale green bubbly liquid flowed out, ‘Black Pearl’ first sniffed at it, then nickered and began to chew vigorously, seeming quite fond of the taste.

One minute later, the system prompt refreshed:

[By feeding your warhorse with high-quality feed mixed with the secret potion ‘Intelligence Potion,’ its comprehension has slightly increased!]

[Your Beast Taming Skill has been enhanced, Experience +45]

[Your Beast Tamer (Transcendent) profession Experience +22]

….

Rein nodded in satisfaction and glanced at the Beast Tamer (Transcendent) profession, which had now reached lv5 (348/2000).

However, the intelligence potion differed from the mutation growth potion in its use.

The intelligence potion only needed to be used once to gradually affect the pet; it wasn’t necessary to be continuously administered for two months like the mutation growth potion.

This meant that Rein could only gain feeding experience from one pet once, but all things considered, he currently only had two pets.

This was in part because he had not previously invested much energy in the Beast Tamer (Transcendent) profession, and secondly, it was because it was still unknown whether there was a limit to the number of pets a Beast Tamer could have.

Recalling the previous profession panel quantity restriction, the system only displayed the prompt ‘Total number of panels has reached the current limit’ after Rein had filled his profession panel quantity (3/3).
