Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2237: Chapter 2173: Voluntary Price Reduction

Selling it is the best outcome.

No matter how much it appreciates in the future, he won’t feel envious or regretful.

Chiang Xiao understood what he meant after listening.

Speaking of which, Kuang Yunxian’s personality isn’t necessarily bad—kind, gentle, and always grateful.

It’s just different from theirs, that’s all.

”Brother Kuang, have you thought it through?”

”Yes. So if you want to buy it, don’t worry about me.”

Now, Kuang Yunxian actually hoped that Chiang Xiao would buy the house and shop. If, as she said, these two places increase in value greatly in the future, he hoped that it would be Chiang Xiao who profits.

Chiang Xiao nodded, ”Then let’s go take a look.”

”Okay.”

They went downstairs, and Song Xingbai had just finished playing two pieces and was taking a break. Seeing them come down, she put away her instrument and walked over.

”Boss Chiang! Teacher Kuang!”

Song Xingbai’s eyes glimmered with a slight sparkle that made her look very lively.

”Song Xingbai, don’t call me Boss Chiang anymore, just call me Chiang Xiao.”

”I can’t do that,” Song Xingbai insisted, ”I’m your employee.”

Hearing her say this, Chiang Xiao couldn’t help but recall what Cheng Qiulian said about her—she would protect me.

She laughed, ”Then suit yourself, just remember to talk to Aunt Cheng if anything comes up. Thank you for your hard work. Your playing is lovely.”

After saying a few words to her, Chiang Xiao and Kuang Yunxian left the teahouse.

Song Xingbai stood at the door, watching their backs for a long time.

The shop on Baoyan Street is somewhat smaller than Youqingwei Teahouse but is considered large on this street.

At the first glance of the shop, Chiang Xiao thought that although Xiao Fang was quite capable, she still had the limitations of the times and didn’t have such long foresight.

She messed up the Kong Family’s business but still kept this shop.

In fact, compared with the wealth she could have gained, the shop on Baoyan Street and the house of the Kong Family would actually be the most valuable.

Of course, her thinking was already much ahead of many women of this era.

Now, the words ”Kuang Jiamo Zhai” still hang on the shop door, but inside it’s a mess.

”I came over on leave, haven’t had time to get anyone to clean up,” Kuang Yunxian explained.

”It’s okay.”

Chiang Xiao took a turn around the shop and looked quite satisfied.

”Brother Kuang, sell it for 120,000?”

”Yes, but if you want it, then it’s 100,000. I’ll speak to my uncle. Also, the house is 100,000 as well.”

”You’re giving me a discount?” Chiang Xiao was taken aback.

She already thought it was quite cheap, yet he was giving her a discount?

Kuang Yunxian said, ”We were expecting buyers to negotiate the price down anyway, but since you’re the buyer, I lowered the price voluntarily.”

Chiang Xiao nodded with a smile, ”Okay, then I’ll be straightforward too—200,000, I’ll take both the house and the shop.”

Kuang Yunxian breathed a sigh of relief.

”It’s much easier dealing with you, solving a big issue, and no longer having to repeatedly show the shop and house to people, negotiating over and over again.”

”I’ll gather the funds within three days, and then we’ll go through the transfer process.”

”Okay, but if you encounter any difficulties...”

”No worries, three days will be enough.”

Although taking out 200,000 at once is a bit challenging for her, she has many ways to make money. Plus, she can recoup some payments from the teahouse first.

That night, while having dinner with Ah Liu, Chiang Xiao was still pondering over how to gather the money.

In the past two months, first was the overseas competition, second was Ah Liu’s surgery, and third was the wedding with Meng Xi, so she painted less. The paintings she made earlier were for exhibitions to raise funds for charity to build a school in Shitou Town, so she hasn’t sold any paintings for a while.
