Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2233: Chapter 2169: No Experience

Youqingwei Teahouse has a very beautiful player who plays excellently.

Some local troublemakers came to the teahouse to cause trouble and demanded ten cans of Liunian tea.

A can of Liunian costs several thousand yuan. It is said to have an excellent taste—smooth, fragrant, with a high sweetness that lingers, quenches thirst, and aids digestion. If it weren’t so good, why would even the troublemakers come not to rob money but to demand tea?

It’s unclear how these stories got out, but that’s how they spread.

Every customer who comes to buy Liunian says they want to witness it for themselves.

Some people also order a small pot at the teahouse.

To be honest, ordering a pot of Liunian in the teahouse is much more expensive than buying a can. A pot costs as much as 680 yuan.

However, it also comes with two pieces of honey-sweetened tea snacks, not to mention the serene and elegant environment of the teahouse, with the added pleasure of enjoying beautiful music.

Customers who order Liunian also receive a bookmark set when leaving. The bookmark is made of intricately carved wood, with two very thin wooden sheets pressed together, hiding a dried flower inside.

If you smell closely, the dried flower retains the fragrance of the flower, delicate and distinct.

This was something Chiang Xiao had thought of earlier. She drew a picture and wrote a letter to Xu Lin, asking if he could make it.

To her surprise, Xu Lin actually made it according to her wishes, carved beautifully. The two wooden sheets could be opened, and Chiang Xiao herself placed flowers she had picked and dried from Space inside.

In the future, when her grandpa’s Flower Field is cultivated, she plans to have Xu Lin buy fresh flowers from there to place in the bookmarks.

This has become a new source of income for Xu Lin, and her grandpa’s Flower Field will also have orders besides hers.

So in the past few days, many customers have been coming in to order Liunian.

”And those bookmarks are quite popular too, but we only have three or four left. Can we restock quickly?”

Chiang Xiao felt exasperated.

Forgive her for being new to business; she was unprepared for everything and somewhat underestimated herself and made assumptions.

She initially thought that a tea priced at 680 yuan per pot might only attract one or two customers a month, so she didn’t stock much.

She only had Xu Lin carve fifteen wooden bookmarks first, and then she completely forgot about it, thinking that if she sold a pot of Liunian with one bookmark a month, those fifteen pieces would last a few months.

But unexpectedly, they were used up in one month, and sold out in just a few days.

It seems she needs to quickly telegraph Xu Lin to rush the order.

However, even rushing might not suffice.

Chiang Xiao awkwardly said, ”Madam, if we run out of bookmarks and someone orders Liunian, just record it and tell them we’ll provide it once it’s restocked. Explain that these are handcrafted by our partner master carpenter at Youqingwei and can’t be mass-produced quickly, and ask for their understanding.”

Cheng Qiulian nodded, ”That’s all we can do. I’m learning as I go while running the shop. Neither of us has experience.”

If she had experience, she should have reminded Chiang Xiao earlier.

Even she initially didn’t believe it when hearing Chiang Xiao set the price for a pot of tea at 680 yuan, thinking no one would be willing to drink such expensive tea.

But reality proved she underestimated Chiang Xiao; the quality of Chiang Xiao’s tea was truly astonishing.

They have an old patron who ordered Liunian twice and said he originally had persistent bloating and no appetite, feeling quite uncomfortable. Surprisingly, after drinking a pot of Liunian for the first time, all the bloating vanished. That night, he even ate two bowls of rice.
