Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1807: Chapter 1743 Mental Illness

”However, I always had an uneasy feeling in my heart, so on April 12th, I called some people to secretly help me move those silks out and hide them elsewhere first.”

Chiang Xiao, upon hearing this, suddenly had a bad feeling.

He had called some people.

In other words, someone else knew about this matter.

If that person thought about it later with caution, they would surely suspect Ah Liu.

For no reason, could one predict the future?

She was nearly certain that the following day, it indeed rained heavily, lightning did strike the ancient tree, causing a fire that burned the house down.

As expected, this is what Ah Liu said.

Everything was exactly like what he dreamed.

The rest of the Jiang Family thought those silks were gone, but in reality, they still existed.

”However, I didn’t tell anyone else about this matter, I quietly told Grandpa, and he came up with another excuse for those silks and took the responsibility, saying he suddenly felt those houses weren’t suitable for storing silks and moved them away.”

Old Master Jiang knew?

”I didn’t mention the dream, just said I unintentionally went over and felt that place was a bit damp.”

Would Old Master Jiang believe such an excuse?

At that time, Ah Liu was learning to manage all the affairs of the Jiang Family, he was still in the learning phase, with just a word from him, could Old Master Jiang believe?

If he truly believed, he wouldn’t take the responsibility on himself, the only reason he did was probably because he feared the rest of the Jiang Family wouldn’t trust Ah Liu’s age and experience to make and execute this decision, saying it was his decision, no one would dare question it.

Thinking of this, Chiang Xiao couldn’t help but have some doubts about Old Master Jiang.

”And after that? Did you continue having such dreams?” Chiang Xiao asked.

Ah Liu shook his head, ”No, I rarely dream, after that time, I fell severely ill, almost died, I felt such dreams come with a price, the more severe the matter in the dream, the more it consumed my spirit and body.”

Chiang Xiao was shocked.

She looked at Ah Liu, somewhat unable to process it.

After listening for so long, she seemed to only now realize, was Ah Liu telling her he could dream about things that would happen in the future?

Was he telling her that he had extraordinary abilities?

But, was this... truly possible?

Yet, Ah Liu hadn’t finished speaking.

”After that severe illness, sometimes even when I don’t sleep, my mind would occasionally drift into unfamiliar scenes. However, those scenes and people I never saw again in reality. Thus, I suspected something was wrong with my mental state, always experiencing hallucinations.”

Did he no longer dream about future events?

Ah Liu sighed and said, ”At that time, Grandpa had high hopes for me, wanting to entrust the Jiang Family to me, I couldn’t bear to tell him, suspecting there was a problem with my mental state, so I secretly sought medical help.”

Sought medical help?

”At that time, I heard someone from Ten Miles Foreign Firm knew foreign doctors, and such foreign doctors could treat this kind of illness, so I secretly reached out. That foreign doctor said they would help me through hypnosis.”

Chiang Xiao felt a headache coming.

A secret, a secret she could never have imagined.

Moreover, she completely couldn’t predict what the outcome would be next.

Ah Liu stopped there, closed his eyes, and let out a long sigh.

”After the hypnosis, in a dark void, I saw a woman who was always running, someone was chasing her, always chasing.”
