Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1692: Chapter 1628: Could it be her doing

Chiang Songhai was also dumbfounded.

Who on earth did this? How come he didn’t know anything?!

It’s really too ridiculous to say, his own daughter had already ”died”, and he didn’t know all these years.

”Why don’t you go ask Comrade Xiao Yang who handles this matter, let him check it for you. Anyway, our village is the same as that side,” Secretary Yao said to them, ”Do you need me to take you there?”

Xu Linjiang, who was beside, said, ”No need, no need, I’ll take them, I know Comrade Xiao Yang too.”

”Yes, Xiao Xu can take you there, I almost forgot he knew Comrade Xiao Yang too.”

Chiang Xiao and the others had to leave Siyang Village again.

Xu Linjiang took them to find Comrade Xiao Yang, and as it turns out, after checking, it was indeed true!

Chiang Qingzhu had ”died” six years ago.

”What on earth is going on here?” Chiang Songhai looked blankly at Xu Linjiang, then at Chiang Xiao.

”Grandpa, do you remember clearly? Back then you went to the police station, you reported her missing, not declared her dead, right?” Chiang Xiao was even more puzzled.

Chiang Songhai carefully recalled and said, ”Yes, I reported her missing!”

Counting back, he reported her missing more than seven years ago, but the ”death” was six years ago.

The timeline doesn’t match.

Comrade Xiao Yang said to them, ”Is there something wrong with this person’s situation? If she is indeed still alive, one can submit documentation to revoke the death status and recover her records and household registration. However, the procedure might be quite troublesome, requiring investigation and evidence.”

Chiang Xiao immediately waved her hand and said, ”No, no problem.”

Are you kidding? She was here to handle this issue anyway, right?

It’s just that handling it now always presented some flaws because too much time had passed, and she had indeed met Chiang Qingzhu. Although there were ways to handle it, it was never a hundred percent.

She was forced by circumstances to attend to this matter.

But now, fortuitously, luck stood on her side, since Chiang Qingzhu had already ”died”, she need not proceed at all.

And there were no flaws at all!

This was absolutely a good thing for her, how could she say there was any problem.

This is just right, just right.

However, this whole thing did seem a bit eerie no matter how you looked at it.

They went to the Ge Family, sat down with Ge Dejun and others, and talked about this matter, and everyone found it very strange.

But after talking for a while, Liu Pei suddenly remembered something, quickly patting Ge Dejun and said, ”Her dad, do you remember a few years ago our mother was acting a bit mysteriously for a while?”

Ge Dejun was puzzled upon hearing this, ”What mysteriously?” He didn’t have any impression at all?

Liu Pei thought about it again, then slapped her thigh, ”Really, I’m not wrong, she really was acting mysteriously for a while, and she even told your aunt, now let’s see how they deal with it in old age, with no children! I didn’t understand what it meant then, but thinking about it now, do you think it might mean this?”

Ge Dejun was still a bit puzzled, why suddenly talking about his mom?

”Hey, what I mean is,” Liu Pei saw they still didn’t understand, so she laid it out, ”Do you think this matter, might have been done by our mom?”

Chiang Xiao was shocked when she heard this, ”Aunt, what do you mean by this?”
