Supreme Warrior in the City

Su Yang was unaware of Ge Kaiyang’s plan to ambush him; he didn’t even know about the internal strife within the Four Major Sects.

After leaving the southern Paradise territory, he didn’t have a place to go temporarily, so he traveled with Lv Donglin towards Capital City.

All of this was within the Jade-faced Judge’s speculations.

Of course, there was another reason Su Yang chose to go to Capital City, and that was that the people from the Four Major Sects were not in Capital City right now. It was temporarily still safe over there, so going would not pose any danger. Hence, Su Yang wanted to witness the battle between Qi Zhishan and the Martial Champion.

On the way to Capital City, Su Yang finally received the news and learned about the internal strife of the Four Major Sects. This news greatly shocked him, and he was pondering how to attract Paradise to counter the Four Major Sects. Unexpectedly, the Four Major Sects had already begun to fight internally, with Lingxiao Pavilion and Tianya Haijiao betraying the Second Elder of the Medicine Sect and even attacking him.

This news left Su Yang conflicted between happiness and speechlessness. According to his plan, he intended for the Four Major Sects and Paradise to fight each other to exhaustion. In that way, his pressure would be alleviated considerably, and he could find ways to clean up the aftermath.

But now, the Four Major Sects were already fighting internally, thus their strength had dropped significantly.

Under such circumstances, Paradise was definitely not going to meddle in the affairs of the Four Major Sects. They would surely sit back and watch them fight among themselves until they were worn out. Then, once the internal conflict within the Four Major Sects was mostly settled, they would step in to clean up the mess.

Thus, the final result could be that Paradise emerges without much loss, easily resolving the Four Major Sects. Ultimately, Paradise would still control Huaxia.

However, this was not what Su Yang wanted. Neither the Four Major Sects nor Paradise were suitable to control Huaxia as their personal motives were too heavy.

Yet, with matters developing to this point, even Su Yang couldn’t control them. In the end, he could only choose to do nothing and prepare to observe how the situation unfolds.

Upon arriving at Capital City, Qi Zhishan first found a place to rest for the night, to bolster his energy. The next morning, he directly headed for the Martial Champion’s Zhang Family.

Upon reaching the Zhang Family’s doorstep, Qi Zhishan didn’t need to notify anyone, as the door opened immediately. Zhang Congwen stood with the Martial Champion’s sons at the entrance, seemingly already waiting for Qi Zhishan.

”Mr. Qi!” Zhang Congwen cupped his hands toward Qi Zhishan, softly saying, ”My father has been waiting for some time, please come this way!”

Qi Zhishan didn’t exchange unnecessary words, nodding calmly and directly following Zhang Congwen into the courtyard.

Su Yang and Lv Donglin attempted to follow, but were stopped by Zhang Family’s Seventh Son at the back.

”Su Alliance Leader, Mr. Lv, my apologies. My father instructed that today’s battle should not have spectators, and no one should go to the scene. Thus, today the Zhang Family is only open to Mr. Qi!”

Zhang Family’s Seventh Son was courteous, far more so than when Su Yang first met him. It seemed that during this period at home, his temperament truly had been tempered.

Since the Martial Champion had given such instructions, Su Yang naturally did not insist, looking around and smiling, ”Well, then we’ll wait outside, okay?”

”That’s fine!” Zhang Family’s Seventh Son nodded, gesturing, ”Have chairs and tea prepared for Su Alliance Leader and Mr. Lv!”

The servants of the Zhang Family promptly bustled about, soon arranging tables and chairs outside the courtyard for Su Yang and Lv Donglin, even providing them with tea.

As for Zhang Family’s Seventh Son, he stood respectfully beside them, apologetically watching the two, a stark change from his previous demeanor.

Su Yang didn’t understand what kind of education Zhang Family’s Seventh Son underwent during this time, but it seemed effective. This situation made him admire the Zhang Family once more. This family was truly shrouded in mystery, impossible to see through!

The two sat outside the courtyard, casually chatting with Zhang Family’s Seventh Son. After about three rounds of tea, the courtyard door suddenly opened, and Qi Zhishan emerged accompanied by Zhang Congwen.
